JT gets too wound up before the fight, especially in Little Rock. If he was calm he'd be GREAT he has a good jab, a good right cross when he's not forcing it...when he's settled down the cross is quick and straight and when he's tight the right cross is wide and loopy.

JT is still my favorite middleweight and I think he has power but he does a poor job of setting it up and he doesn't throw short and quick like he should.

JT has great heart, loves a challenge and is just an overall good guy... I just wish he would settle down he's good right now as he is but he could be one of the greats if he just was calm.

I know that your'e a big fan of Manny's so it's probably stupid to ask...but do you think Steward is the right thing for him?

    Because I just don't.

I think that it was a pretty stupid move to switch up when you hit the big time if youv'e got this guy that's worked it so well throughout your career & then you jump in with a NAME & it doesn't improve your game.

    But that's just me.

I think Manny was a smart move for JT. JT is tall, he's got a good 1-2 with a good left hook basically the prototypical Emanuel Steward fighter.

The problem Jermain has is that he's always too tense he tries for the KO instead of letting it come to him. You rarely see Wladimir swing for the fences like JT did, you never saw Tommy Hearns swing wild like that with much success, he did it vs Hagler but got smacked down. Lennox Lewis always started out kind of slowish unless the blueprint for beating a fighter was to jump on him early and he still didn't throw wild...he was calculated in his attack.

Jermain's problems stem from a lack of good solid training and it'll take more than one or two fights to fully accept Manny's training. Remember Wladimir didn't adapt to Manny's training really until the Eliso Castillo fight which was around 4-5 fights into Manny's tenure as Wlad's trainer.

The fighter-trainer relationship involves a lot of trust....Taylor had that with his previous trainer BUT that dude never showed Jermain how to take his time and really lean on his strengths during a fight instead of being so tense. Jermain needs someone to calm him down and make him fight at a decent pace.

I don't know...I think that Burns had him under wraps pretty well.

Guess we'll just have to see.

I disagree. I think Jermain realized that it takes a different approach to face the kind of competition he's now going to face as champion as opposed to fighters who were simply put in front of him to prepare him, which is what every fighter goes through at the beginning of their careers. I like the change to Steward.

Yeah it's all Tommy Hearns, Gerald McClellan, Kermit Cintron, Oscar De la Hoya, and anyone else he has trained ever did....yall are such haters!

Manny is one of the best trainers ever...you hate on him but love up on Freddy Roach who has THE SAME STYLE of teaching his fighters to clinch

Personally I think they should crack down big time on holding, and I've said that for awhile, not just cause of this fight.

If you're hurt badly, fine. But otherwise, if you're just clinching whenever the other guy gets inside that should be illegal. If you don't have an inside game, if you're inside defense is nonexistent, that's on you. You should have to work on it, not just be able to grab a guy repeatedly.

I think that Ouma could have possible won last night if he'd went to the body a lot more with his straights. Jermain's jab was about non apparent then the lightning one he used to. Maybe its because competition stepping up. He fought to keep Ouma off of him instead of using his jab

Lyle not everyone's gonna agree...doesn't make us haters...I switched over to Wlad & I think that Steward does good there because Wlad was damaged goods & Steward's passive style works with him...just don't think that it does for Taylor.

Question:how does Taylor fare against Arthur Abraham,Edison Miranda and anyone else who is a threat at the weight?

From what I have seen of Abraham and JT's lackluster performances,it would be a good fight. JT's offence isn't particularly great and Abraham could block most of it!

Miranda has power, could he take advantage of Taylor being open or always backing up?

I don't know, Abraham is like a poor man's Wright. And with that broken jaw we don't know how he'd respond and Jermain has the tools to beat anyone he just doesn't do anything with them, his jab could have made last night easy but he didnt use it.

Personally...I think that alot of people under rate Abraham's abilities to give & take a punch.

The same can be said for Miranda & I truely believe that they both would give Taylor some issues. He's just too tentative now & you do not back up with your gotdam hands down...not if you plan on keeping your straps & your head screwed on.

I'd truely love to see Taylor rematch Mora.

#1: I fwockin hate Mora & I think that it'd be a good confidence builder for Taylor to wack him again.
#2: If on the odd not, Mora were to win, he'd be mandated to fight either Abraham or Miranda...that'd be instant death for Mora.

    Either way...I win.
