and if he thinks he can shrug off pacs attack and combos

His best weapon against Pacquiao is his defence. His best punch is his left to the body. I think for barrera to win he has to rush him, pacquiao's punches are long, Barrera needs to get inside, he'll need workrate and smart countering to do this.

Dude, I seriously don't think Barrera's best chance is to go for a KO, he's way too good to take risks like that. I've backed him for years and watched his progression. He's not really an outside fighter, even though his jab is terrific. He's a counter puncher, and Pacquiao's not an inside fighter, thats why Barrera's best chance is to get as close to him as possible, back Manny up, but be smart how he does it, and work on the inside. Pac-man's biggest punch is his long straight left, most effective when the guy is backing up, he's a long puncher, he's not a great hooker, unlike Barrera, his hooks are brilliant, so he needs to keep it where he is most effective, inside.

Barrera would indeed be a fool to look to win by KO. It seemed that was the plan of Morales and that was plain kamikaze. No way Barrera goes swinging from the 2nd onwards. I just MAB v Jesus Salud(one of THE great boxing performances I have ever seen) and I also saw a fewother MAB fights and I think iof anyone can beat PAC it's MAB. He'll be training for this fight like no other,he knows the task at hand and with veterans like B Hop/Oscar etc around him, after seeing his Mexican rival Morales destroyed and after remembring the beating he took from Pac the last time out, we may very well see one last GREAT MAB perfomance. but the reason i said many posts ago in some thread that pac would KO
MAB in 2 rounds is just because i wanna get back on someone for saying
barrera would school pac and pac has beaten warm corpses like EM, larios
and jmm. he even said morales and jmm are inferior mexicans.
it pissed me off like hell not just because hes taking away a ton from pacs achievements
but also cuz he diss on the great morales and the master jmm.
and they always talk about how he got KOed by bums a decade ago
they will laugh on me if i say that the pac that beat larios isnt focused
but on the other hand they will be kissing each others ass when they all reckon
that the MAB that was beaten by pac isnt focused. its unfair.

Remember Larios went 12 only a few months earlier and Larios is no MAB...

pac said before the larios fight, that he will put a show for the filipinos. he will try to make it last for as long as he could then ko larios out. that was his plan, if it was true then it worked accordingly.

CC back bro,and yeah,I am always fair even when it involves my favourite boxer. Of course,I think Pac will be a HEAVY favourite for the fight but MAB is dangerous and is a true legend. Whoever said Morales and JMM were inferior doesn't know what they are talking about. All 3 of these great Mexicans is skilled in their won ways. I don't read too much into Manny being koed from before because seriously,he looked ILL in the fights,he should not have been fighting at those weight classes and when he went down,he looked SERIOUSLY hurt and not just that but he has taken Morales and JMM's bombs and although he's been shaken a few times,he has not been dropped once by these guys~(man he's a tough dude!).

I understand what you are saying but you guys are debating about each other's favourite fighters so obviously you are going to try and dig up the dirt on the other fighter so to speak! I think Manny gets alot of credit from guys here,I mean I'm not his biggest fan at all but I have learnt to respect him because he has earnt it.

However,one thing I will disagree with.I give Pacman TOTAL credit for moving up in weight and fighting MAB in his first fight,a fight which barely ANYONE thought he would win BUT,I have been an MAB fan a long long time and I say to you,honestly,that was not MAB in there. Not at all.

Alot of things happened to him during that time,that interrupted his training,that played with his mind and when I was watching that fight with my friends,I even recall saying to them,that MAB does not look himself. I'm not saying Paman would not have won anway because aside from being himself,I think MAB is also guilty of underestimating Pacman in the fight but still,I expect a better performance from MAB this time around and if not,if Pac wins again,then no one can say anything about the first Pac win either I guess!
