My favourite quote of all time that one. Many people use it. I think it shows who were prone to throwing their toys out of the pram as a child.

I cant see anyone on the list offered beating Jones to be honest. A combination of being too slow, too small and just not good enough. Thats not to say it couldnt happen so I wont be the one to pretend like thats the case.

...I always thought the same thing...like when you were a kid and your parents had the "Cuase I said so" Answer...always good in a pinch

What the hell does Hearns being or not being a slow starter got to do with Jones hand speed? Mugabi made his name off a loss to Hagler. He was never an elite fighter. Did he ever beat an elite fighter? He would not of beaten Jones. Agree on Jones-McClellan. It would be tough. As for Jones-Hopkins? I think a prime Jones beats a prime Hopkins any time.

I see your having a bad night Daxx. Cuz I'm still looking for how I insulted you. Only cuz it's you (and I'm trying to get ready to go out) I'll ignore it. As for your points? Hearns did have good hand speed. At welterweight. At 160 or 168 it was not the same. And it was not in Jones level. As for Mugabi? Answer this question truthfully. Do you really think Mugabi would of caught Jones? Do give me this anything can happen bullshit. If they fought would you put your money on Mugabi or Jones?

Didnt McClellan beat Jones as an Amatuer ?

Im pretty sure, if a prime McClellan charged at Jones he could KO him inside 3 rounds.

Shiit or Bust as they say.

With regards Roy, i always get the feeling we'll never truly know how good he actually was - how effective he was across the whole spectrum of fighters, boxers & ko artists.

He was awsome & very confident.

Some naysayers comment that his incredible performance was due to his nutritional 'advice' from steroid guru Victor Conte's BALCO LABS.

I don't know if it's because it's true or not but that line made me laugh. Violent D, he's something else. Despite his arrogance, I actually enjoy reading his posts. I don't know if many people are going to agree with this but if you look past all the nonsence in his posts you'll see that there a lot of good valid points.
