Search Kimbo on Youtube and you'll have your questions answered fairly quickly. Basically he's a big black guy with a Mr. T hair do who fights bareknuckle fights for 10 K a pop. Put up 10 K and Kimbo's team will as well and you fight for the prize. Basically all the guys he has fought have been garbage basically and folded under any pressure Kimbo put up. But it makes for entertainment. The only guy with any real fighting experience he fought was a policeman named Sean Gannon who basically beat the shit out of him by using chokes and some basic MMA techniques. His team always talks about how he would fuck any boxer out there up and well, this is his chance.

Yeah got the same deal with dial up. Basically, Kimbo is a big street fighter. That's it, Mercer can actually box and in a professional setting I've little doubt that Kimbo will be flat on his back in a squash.

I really dislike Kimbo....the guys he fights are too scared to really throw at him and he does the whole side to side head movement which is ok and everything but if someone knew how to throw a decent uppercut they'd knock his ass out.....they'd have to get through that beard though....fucking joke to have a beard like that and fight anyone anywhere

CC for the video Lyle. In all fairness, Kimbo looks to be a good street fighter, least he has head movement and a killer instinct. That big guy he was fighting was big, but not much else. He was not really a FIGHTER. He didn't have the heart, he didn't throw good punches at all, and really didn't look like he wanted to be there. Kimbo is a bully, that is obvious, he may run into an older, fatter, tougher bully in Ray Mercer though. Mercer is about 1000X better than "The Bouncer" I can tell you that.

Former Heavyweight Boxing Champ to Take on Kimbo Slice

(March 30th, New York City ) “Merciless” Ray Mercer, a former WBO heavyweight boxing champ and gold medalist in the 1988 Olympics, will take on no-knuckle boxing and Internet legend Kimbo Slice in a three-round exhibition bout utilizing professional MMA rules at the Cage Fury Fighting Championship 5 show, said matchmaker Gary Marino today. Dubbed “Brawl at the Hall”, CFFC 5 will take place on June 16th at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey .

“I’m very, very excited,” said Marino. “I’ve been working on trying to get Kimbo a fight for the last year. He’s a great draw, and he’s got a huge following for his fights.” Marino added: “Ray Mercer was at the Cage Fury Fighting Championship 3 show and speculated that he’d like to try [MMA], and he called me a couple weeks ago asking me to get him a fight. It’s perfect for both guys, for their style and who they are. Kimbo’s a big banger and so is Mercer.”

Known for their heavy-hands and raw power, this will be the first time either man has fought under full MMA rules �" though Slice purportedly has been training in the sport for some time now at Miami ’s Freestyle Fighting Academy . However, the former boxing champ, who lost his WBO belt to Wladimir Klitschko in 2002 before stepping into the ring for Japan’s K-1 promotion in 2004 and 2005, will likely enter the cage ready to defend the takedown should the need arise. Said Marino: “Ray Mercer told me he has a bit of a wrestling background, and he’s aware Kimbo has been training down in Florida . He’s been talking about MMA for a while now… so he’ll be prepared.”

With this bout, Mercer will become the highest-profile boxer to have taken the MMA plunge. “It’s very, very intriguing. ....Kimbo wears shoes whenever he fights Taeth why wouldn't Ray wear shoes....AND Ray fought a kicker in K-1 which is why he got KO'd.

I'm not saying he won't win, but its a bigger problem for a real fighter like him than a brawler like Kimbo who doesn't have his technique. I can't see either said kicking much anyways. If there are kicks allowed, and he isn't going to take advantage of them it would likely be suicide against anybody half decent at kicking, so we'll have to see how good Kimbo is at kicking because I do both and the range when you kick is like 3 times as far as for punches.
