If he fights Kessler and makes him look bad, then it is a step in the right direction. Kessler won't be known as an also ran afterwards. We know Kessler has the goods. If Calzaghe makes kessler look terrible then Calzaghe is beginning to show his greatness on the elite boxers in his division.

I hope you're not suggesting Kessler is a great?

So if everyone else thought he sucks, then you'd think he's good?
But because people speak so highly of him, he sucks?
This "overrated" nonsense is, well, nonsense.
That aside, let's tackle your other question.
Is he crap? Not at all.
There's no doubt he slaps with a lot of his punches in combination, but who ever said you need to knock a guy out with everything you throw?
He's scoring points when he flurries and scores telling blows when he has his opportunities.
He's not going out there and wasting everything he has in combinations while his opponents are completely guarded.
    But he's always scoring points.
Did the ref jump in too quick in the Manfredo fight? I'd say yes.
You can blame the hometown favortism or bad refereeing, but how does that make Joe crap?
You can blame Warren for not risking him in bigger fights, but how does that make Joe crap?

He scores and scores and scores points. Not everyone needs to be a Tyson.
You can blame decision makers around him, you can hate on boisterous fans around him, but as a fighter he is not crap.

I'm saying if he defeats Kessler,it is a step in the right direction. A champ that is undefeated and in his prime. Kessler is a very good fighter. You can't take that away from him even if he loses to calzaghe. Calzaghe makes most good boxers look bad.

Calzaghe is overrated and is crap as a champion and at delivering great fights for the fans can't blame warren for it all.His boxing ability is'nt bad but he does slap always has and he throws to much pitter patter stuff

    Hope this helps
The slaps haven't hindered him in compiling a 43-0 (32 ko's) record. He's been the WBO champion for nigh-on ten years, has beaten former holders of the WBC, WBA and unified against the IBF champion, is the current longest reigning title holder in any weight class and is universally recognised as a top 10 P4P fighter (8th by The Ring magazine).

And you think that is an overrated, crap fighter?
Looks nice the way you typed all that up.
But give the names of these so highly regarded opponents.
I'll help you out with one, Lacy.
    Who else?
Thanks Mick but It doesn't just look nice it's FACT!!!

Robin Reid, Richie Woodhall, Charles Brewer and Byron Mitchell. Who said they were highly regarded?
    3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

Must be your lucky day Fenster we actually sort of agree on something.

Robin Reid = Had only lost one fight and was former World Champion and Calzaghe still beat highly regarded Reid with broken hand.

Richie Woodhall = Good class fighter but don't know about highly regarded but he still was former World Champ so still was good win.

Charles Brewer = Had good win against Herol Graham was good decent fighter former World Champion good victory for Joe.

Byron Mithcell = Lost only twice was highly regarded when coming into fight lost very close razor thin decision to Sven Ottke good win for Joe.

These are decent opponents when you actually look at there history but these fights aren't going to make him all time great he needs Kessler Hopkins and Taylor to seal his legacy.
