The same happened before the Rafeal Ruleas fight !! RR was detirmined to knock Oscar clean out and was voicing his thoughts on the matter quite publicly !! When Oscar was asked he went through the ritualistic ''ive great respect for my oppenents achievements '' speech . At one point he started talking about Golf and how all Boxers should make Great golfers because of Hand to eye cordination . I for one believe the Fernando Vargas story about them running and Oscar running past FV who had slipt and fallen badly !!
This was just Oscar demonstrating his independance and tunnel visioned clarity of mind too succed , it would have been nice for Oscar to help him up but his mind was prbably elsewere .

Getting back to the documentry i thought Floyd demonstrated a little vulnerability when talking about his Dad !! His sentiment was genuine I'm absolutley convinced of that !! the way he stopped to think and theway his voice changed and his eyes looked left convinced me of that !!!

I don't think he's cracking under the pressure though he's probably realishing it !

One thing demonstrated beyond absolute certainty is Roger and Floyd SNR's iggnorance!! Can't Roger shut his stupid mouth for 2 seconds and realise that when you don't have anythng worthwhile to say the best option is silence !!

CC swashbuck! that was a real deep asessment you had going on there as well. yeah i think u might have misundertood me a bit im not all ANTI Oscar to be honest. i once was a HUGE fan(prior to the Tito scandalous outcome) i actually am still a fan more so that i put alot of money down(well it was this girl's money actually haha) on oscar vs B-hop. i even had oscar winning most of those rounds and doing rather well until the well u know

Would it be dead in the water in America ? Its already become a Subculture nobody these days cant tell you who the top fighters are only the hardcore the guys who post on Saddos who go to the fights and stay up late to watch which to most people is the most obscure of boxing matchups !!

In the UK we had Naz he bought a new generation into boxing he made the Public sit up again and take notice its been a dead or dying sport in this country for some time we have some premier fighters who kept the sportgoing like Bruno( okay not top of the world but loved here) Eubank ,Benn,Jones,Naz,Hatton ,Calzaghe and Lewis but at grass roots level its going down the pan !!!

Thats why i don't begrudge Oscar anything he is a man who has spent his whole adult life in the spotlight he's made the wrong headlines at times what with him having 2 kids outa wedlock but he was a young man!!

I think at times you have to keep a little back for yourself i've often thought of Oscar as slightly fake but then i realised he has to have a veil that protects him and his family from the outside world .
