....then you're not 100% crazy, maybe just 85%

I mean Floyd BARELY beat an Oscar De la Hoya whom obviously wasn't on his game, and at 34 and with a year off who blames him.

Floyd is VERY GOOD in my opinion he just isn't great

So you think it was Winky's POWER that beat Tito?? Come on, Tito just doesn't have the technical acumen to beat skilled boxers with great defenses. He's got good pop, and it won him a lot of fights. But when he went up against great defensive fighters, he couldn't land it and he couldn't win a single round. It would be no different against Floyd.

    Shane would terrorize Floyd!

Tito would have beaten Jr senseless!

I don't think Floyd would have had the sack to challenge Camacho, Quartey, and to a far lesser extent Oba Carr (a very good boxer who, like many others who was destroyed by Trinidad)
As for the above, that's all quite possible. The old Sweet Pea that fought Oscar, Floyd would stand a good chance, and I can't say that Oscar even won that fight.Prime Chavez, probably, but not an aging Chavez that fought Oscar. As for Mosely, hopefully we'll see. Tito, well, Tito is my man, and Oscar ran. But, Carr or Quartay would never beat Floyd. And Floyd would have murdered Camacho.

I didn't say Winky's power but if you look at Tito's face you can't tell me Floyd could have done that!!!!

Winky's size and yes his skill helped him....but his size and strength allowed him to be effective vs Trinidad. You wouldn't see Floyd stand right infront of Tito, not for a round, not for a second much less 12 rounds!!!!

An aging Chavez was still beating top level fighters....Camacho was still slick and had a good chin.....Carr and Quartey were just tough and how many fighters on Floyd's resume can you say that about 8? 10

I understand what you're saying Lyle and respect your opinion, but one thing you're not taking into consideration is that it was Floyd's FIRST fight at 154. Oscar's been at that weight for 5 years. Normally when fighters move to a new division, they don't immediately do so against that division's best. When Shane first fought DLH at welterweight he at least took 3 tuneups to get himself acclamated to the new weight.

hey man it's not hard at all. "Timing is everything" "being there in right place at the right time" 1st off Oscar emerges after SRL when people are dying to see another savior of boxing, oscar get the final nod by letting people believe that he is willing to fight the best fighters available out there dangerous or not even if he knows that the style might be difficult for him like sweetpea he still go for it win or lose. The style at which oscar fight is also very important, eventhough he is very handsome for a boxer he manages to show to people that he fights with a sense of fearlessness, rugged and toughness that can usually be found on ugly mofos. Oscar is decent, charming, humble a perfect guy to be the protagonist and although he's from a latino lineage he is also an american citizen which is also very important to get the american fan base.

pbf and others can never be loved like oscar because they aren't a fully develop character to capture human drama. look, pbf pretends to be a bad guy but doesn't look like he really mean it right?.. If you want a bad guy you see mike tyson. Plus pbf, calzaghe and the likes cannot become an oscar ever because they've been tarnished in the fans eyes for being so much choosy in their opponents, and unlike oscars promotion letting us believe the fight is about the two macho guys who wants to prove who's the best, others unconsciously let the fans feel that the fight is all about the money. We all know money is a big part why the fight happens but you don't just let them feel that it's your main reason why you fight. It's a major turn off to the fans. a lot of reason why oscar is so loved by fans all over the world but let's just say this guy really knows the art of boxing business with a little bit luck on his side.

Lyle,, Floyd and Roger are two different styles of Mayweather fighting. Mayweather needed more of Floyd's skills and Floyd would love to have his uncles right hand.

Golden boy was destroyed in a washing machine accident on a Seinfeld episode.
That makes this one worth more to us.
