The Pavlik ifght is there for KElley to win,he should use his long reach,establish the jab and back Pantera up because Edison cannot fight going backwards. However,fromn what I have seen,Pavlike is not a particularly clever fighter. Take the Zertuche fight. Zertuche was winding up those long looping shots and they were landing almost every time! Kelly needs to adapt,keep his hands higher. However,I can see him coming in,hands low,on the inside,throwing punches and he is going to get hacked by Edison. If Pantera wins this fight,he is probably a strong contender for fighter of the year already! I want him to rematch Arthur Abrhama! Man I'm excited about this fight!"

I love Miranda cause he talks the talk and walks the walk.. This kid is a old skool bad ass mofo, that would walk through hell and back if thats what it took to win a fight... Pavlik is in way over his head and Miranda will drown him

WOW!!! What a damn press conference! It was all about Miranda vs Taylor. They both went OFF on each other! Taylor never even mentioned the name Spinks during his entire time speaking. And the always calm Taylor started yelling and banging on the podium. I am sure Fightnews will soon have an article with quotes. I hope Taylor will fight Miranda next, it would be a huge buildup!

I agree. Everyone acts like Pavlik is a one trick poney with no chance...& personally...I think that it's Pantera that is the more limited of the two.

I was a bit disappointed in Miranda's showing against Green. If Pavlik can box, ala Abraham, then he might have a shot at escaping Miranda's power which is the best aspect of his game.

Miranda is a bit to wide on his shots for me & a fighter with game & defense can capitalize on the barn door that he leaves open when he throws. Pavlik's chin is a bit of a question mark for me though...& that's the end game if he get's clocked.

I like Miranda's drive & I like his power...but I don't like the overall picture. As I have stated in the past...he has grown on me & his Eastman fight is what did the most for me in the end. I highly rate Eastman on experience...but age has caught up with him & thus Edison had the advantage...there & in raw power.

If Miranda were to tighten up his game...he'd be someone that I'd get behind (not in an ass bandit way either) in the future...but he's got to work it out.

If anyone remembers or has seen Hopkins in the opening bouts of his career...when he went by the tag of the Philadelphia Terror...there are a lot of similarities. I'd love to see Miranda work on his A game instead of sticking to the power plan...he could be similar to Hopkins of 1990-1993 range. Not so much the tactical wizard that he became...but the 1 round combination puncher...the Terror.

Doesn't seem to be phazed by Miranda's mouf though.

This should be a goody...I won't be surprised if it upstages Taylor's bout...hell...you know it will.

CC back Wack. I agree,Pantera is way ay to open at times,he looks lost when he is backed up and when he throws,he is wide open. But man,the power,the heart,the drive is there. He thorws good cimbinations too.

CC Wack and Gamo I've thought that for the longest time, Pavlik is a poised fighter and honestly, the thing that is making Miranda the favorite is that X Factor quality he has. It's the belief that if Miranda is coming at you, your fight falls apart and it very well may be true for this fight but how people are writing off Pavlik is a big mistake imo.

I like Pantera but I don't think this fight is as clear cut as some claim If Pavlik proves to have a chin,his activity levels will be troublesome for Pantera.And all his punches have power! Don't get me wrong,I'm cheering for Pantera all the way but it might not be as easy as some think.


CC for the pics Pantera. Jermain Taylor looks huuuuuuge in that suit! I think he was getting pissed off at Pantera and Pavlik claiming that he is ducking them. It got to him.

While I think that Miranda's pretty scarey...that seems to be his best asset.

I'd love to see a fight break out...& yes...writing Pavlik off is a mistake...but it's a tuff call in the end.

I really hope its a good hard fought win for kelly in the end. it could go either way but im hoping it goes in favour of kelly.

taylor will fight to a UD i think, i just think spinks will run away etc and not get too involved. i cant see a very promising fight to be honest.
