so i don't care how much she weighs unless is a ridculously small man that protein deficient anne wolfe, laila ali, all of them are going out...because none of them have good defense..scratch that none of them have even average defense.,,,
So what your saying then is that a fight between Ann Wolf and Edison Miranda would be a pick'em?

    I agree
i guess you're not a miranda fan...but the only pick'em in that fight would be what round is wolfe going out in....
Havent watched much female boxing then I take it?
Shes better technically then Pavlik by a long sight
not really..i think its a side show...although i like women's kickboxing and MMA..now i'd take them against the average guy...but boxing no way.....and lennox lewis was praising pavlik's boxing skills...technical or not miranda and pavlik would both kayo anne in 45secs
Your about 10 years behind the curve son
The sideshow/foxy boxing days are dead, and gone
And its only going to get even more intense now that Women have a viable amateur scene
Sorry, the top Super Middleweights(where the action and the money is) can REALLY fight
They train just as long, they train with men, they spar men
The days of Christy Martin looking "cute" are over
    These days,women boxers ARE boxers
they're boxers with each other...they'll forever be killed by real male boxer i don't care how long they train, how long, who they spar with, who their trainer is, a guy with any ring knowledge and one week of sparring would kayo every top women fighter out there...

it like saying if they women's pop-warner, middleschool, highschool, and college football, that they'll evenutally be able to deal with the men...never not in a million years...a middle school boy football team would beat an adult women's team and its the same in boxing...an amateur welter would kayo laila ali and anne wolfe on the same night....

Actually your talking about a natural weight handicap when discussing football
In boxing it doesnt work that way,as the fighters are ranked per weight

And if it was so easy to beat the Wolf, why have two different MALE boxers with winning records, pulled out of fights they had scheduled with her?
I guess they didnt think it was easy as you do huh?

because its a lose/lose situation..anydude with any ounce sense wouldn't take the fight...unless there was an life altering amount of money behind it which i doubt....if the guy goes in and kos her, its "well he should have, he's a man"...if she gets lucky and goes the distance or lands a tarver-like punch (lucky, eyes closed, however perfect, other guy doesn't see it coming) type of punch then its "ha ha ha you got kayoed by a chick....

so no guy would take that fight at least not a man that has ever done any type of boxing...

    Nice contradiction there
    "A guy would easily win"
    But why risk it
But if youd easily win, whats the risk?
You cash the best paycheck of your career?
I mean since it would be so easy to win....................

there wasn't a contradiction..shit happens and when the guy does ko her he'll have nothing to show for it except a few thousand bucks, but no else but ridicule for beating up a chick....

and when you best paycheck, are you talking about guys at the local fair, or real guys that are training to reach the highest plateau of boxing because if its that latter then of cource you'd understand the lose/lose situation..and if its the former then its still lose/lose as far as boxing goes but yeah, they'd take a few thousand home...

Amazingly "No comment" and "I dont want to talk about it" has a way of coming off that way

Well to someone who supports the idea that women are equal or can be as good as men in athletics..i suppose that would be translated into "he's scared"

If i got into an unfortunate situation where a woman was threatening me physically i would just say "yeah okay" and walk away not because i'm afraid but because i don't need to actuallly knock her ass out to know that i can..but someone who wants a show will say "you were scared"

anne wolf gets stopped by any male boxer esp one her size....not to mention i'm glad he didn't take the fight let the chicks come up with another way of promoting their sport other than trying to attract attention with a sideshow....that wouldn't last three rounds..and that a stretch...two actually...

I think this is a purely weight vs weight Q. I don't think we're comparing female boxing skills to male boxing skills. Obviously you'd try to make people skill and experience wise - you wouldn't match the male world champ to the female world champ because the male would have more experience and skill simply because there are more male boxers than female boxers which makes men's boxing more competitive at the moment.

I think you'd do it by percentage of fat free body mass. You'd match that and give the female boxer further handicap to compensate for the extra speed and explosiveness a guy would usually have. Say for me - I'd have 10 % more fat than a man and need about 2 % handicap for speed. So as a bantamweight - 54 kg - I'd be looking at fighting a guy that's about 6.5 kg lighter than me (if any exist!).

That'd probably never happen though because it's more likely for me to be matched with a bigger girl than a smaller guy. I do think it suck for people like Anne Wolfe though - who really do run out of opponents. Must be so frustrating to put all that energy into it and try to put yourself into a position where you can be pushed in the ring and learn from it and not be able to.

I did wonder when I posted my last post whether there would be much of a difference between Wolfe's body fat percentage and a mans - pretty stocky by anyone's standards!

she just looks like a chick that lifts a lot of weights..other than that she does everything like a chick no real pop on the end of her punches, but vs the others (women) she does throw a hell of a right hand...well at least against vonda ward...she and ali should just fight and get this shit overwith..she kayos ali easily...i watched that ali-martin fight and ali outweighed her by 20+ pounds and could kayo her with one or a combination...i have no doubt that wolfe would have kayoed her...

uh? They didn't play by the same rules.. He was really old and they gave her special rules. She wouldn't have beat him if the rules were not in her favour. She would have gotten her arse kicked by a middle aged man.
