KIMBO - MERCER VIDEO

What i find funny is that kimbo boxes in his street fights...so if he wanted to prove he could fight like that against someone who has some experience, how come he wrestled? I know he knew it was the way to beat mercer, but the fact he did that just shows the he knows he will get knocked the fuck out by anyone who aint old and can still fight.

Kimbo looked impressive to me, was very surprised. Just would have liked to seen if he could have taken some good punches from Mercer.

I often stated that Kimbo would get owned because he did nothing but fight drunks and bums and Ray Mercer was a world class athelete, I stand corrected...Kimbo came in well prepared with a game plan and EASILY took Ray Mercer out....Mercer looked absolutely clueless which says alot about how he trained for the event....This Fight made Kimbo look like the Pro and Ray Mercer look like someone who should be fighting drunks and bums....congrats to Kimbo, well done.

Kimbo is no spring chicken either. I have to agree it was about how they both trained for the fight. I thought after watching fight videos of both fighters, Kimbo would have his ass handed by Mr. Mercer. However, I was able to see a training video of Kimbo with Bas Rutten. Mr. Rutten mentioned that he was amazed at the attitude of Kimbo Slice. A perfect student he claimed. Kimbo lost a lot of weight because of his rigorous training program. Primarily known a striker, he added muay thai, pankration and wrestling to his arsenal during his training with Mr. Rutten.

Now for Mr. Mercer, maybe he was not as serious and dedicated as Kimbo Slice during training. I would like to stress on the word "maybe" as I do not have any information about the training program of Mr. Mercer. 46 he may be, but I am sure if he trained properly, he would have accounted for himself better. It was an MMA fight so wrestling moves are legal. He should have prepared for that and not only depended on his boxing skills.
