above i tell the reasons i think hatton will be better than winky d-hop and taylor..

winky lost to vargas and drew to taylor,... floyd is the best didnt mention him....., b-hop lost to taylor twice, taylor hasnt ever had a ko in a big fight THOSE WAS ALL BIG FIGHTS.. not that off on the statement...

NO ONE IS SAYING HATTON SHOULD BE #1 JUST BECAUSE HE BEAT MAYWEATHER.... hatton is currently #8 ring p4p.. obviously its more than one victory that will make hatton p4p #1 if he becomes #1...

as far as being critical of opponents...no one has had there opponents critcized more than hatton and calzaghe

I presume you meant B Hop? Ive already said,multi weight world champ,20 plus defences etc etc.Most thought Winky beat Vargas. And a draw with Taylor is no bad thing,JT is a P4P himself. Jermain not having a KO in a big fight has absolutely NO RELEVANCE whatsoever to him being a pound for pounder. No one has stopped Winky or B Hop.

You asked the question "Is Hatton #1 P4P if he beats Mayweather" YOU are asking the question,I gave you a MULTITUDE of reasons why he shall not be. May be you should alter it to something more appropriate if you are not getting the responses you are seeking.

i'm repeating some points of importance as are you..and gave resonable reasons against all of your competitors for not being #1

and pac is better p4p than b-hop winky or taylor, i dont know why you are talking about them rather than pac.

its either pac, r. marquez. or hatton if hatton wins

i dissected your statements pretty soundly too and gave rebuttals to almost every point you have made... this is far from a one-sided discussion...

a couple of posters keeping discussing the point that hatton cant be made #1 by beating PBF cause tarver and taylor didnt while beating a #1.. no one is saying soley based on hatton beating mayweather.. which a couple of posters seem to be implying.. so they are discussing a point that no one is saying is true in the first place... in other words, its apparent stop repeating it..

taylor not knocking out jr. middle-weights when he is a middle-weight is relevant if you are trying to be #1p4p.. hatton knocked out his top rivals...

my main point is everyone has a little cracks in the armour beside mayweather... which means hatton is as worthy as anyto be #1 if he beats mayweather.. but i could see pac. and r. marquez being #1 also..

well half of the board(and saddo has probably the most knowledgeable boxing posters on the net) seems to agree w/ me... half are with you on this...

but its sure not the resounding "no" that i'm sure you all thought it would be even after reading your "MULTITUDE OF REASONS"

Regardless of whether he beats overated Floyd, Ricky is not the P4P No.1 in britain. Joe Calzaghe is.
And a recent UK vote of boxing fans shows that.

Floyds an overated dancer who would poo his pants if he got into a proper fight.

regardless of "polls in england" if hatton beat mayweather there is no way calzaghe deserves to be higher than hatton...

anyone who thinks mayweather is completely overrated needs to reevaluate how you judge boxers because your method is seriously flawed..

I wouldn't have any problem with Hatton at 1 if he beat Mayweather.

That would be beating IMO clearly by far the best fighter in the world. And I never bought into the Tsyzu was shot theory (Castillo on the other hand was a bit shot IMO) so that's two great wins. That and he's undefeated.

Not saying I'd lose it if he wasn't number 1, I don't really like watching him fight anymore, but I wouldn't have a problem with him at that spot.

Who would be above him? Pac, Winky, maybe JT, maybe Rafa although as much as I like Rafa that might be stretching it a bit. I'd vomit all over my apartment if Taylor's ever made number 1 but I guess you have to admit he has fought great competition.
