We have to be realistic heere folks, this fight will either be in stateside or not take place at all.Ideally it would take place in Britain:bigger venues, bigger crowds etc but we know it won't.

If it happens which i doubt it Hopkins is well passed it and would've been knocked out in his prime by Calzaghe if he'd have taken the fight a few years ago. Anyway if it did happen it would be in America as when did a yank last come over here to fight?

But lets not overlook kessler to much
How many people do you think will go to this fight??

Calzaghe is basically unknown in the States if this fight is made, it will be in the uk, i cant see this making any money what so ever in the States.

Depends on who's belt is up for grabs, actually Calzaghe is a household name overseas and BHop automatically becomes the bad guy in this venue. I think it might stand to make more money across the water.
It's best to be quiet and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt!

Household name are you taking piss?? We had a documentry on Joe about 2 months ago here in the Uk, and the presetner was goign round asking your average American do you know who Joe Calzaghe is and one person new who he was?? Household name, very far from it, put it this way Hopkins and Winky sold 9 thousand tickets in Wales they will sell 70 thousand.

Well the argument is where the fight should be held, it wont be anywhere in europe, other than the Uk, so he might of meant that, if Hopkins only got $3 million against Winky in the States i cant see a Calzaghe fight being any more maybe less, id actully prefer Calzaghe to go the States i think it does mroe for his legacy, but there both coming to the end of the road, so i think there not going have the fight where your getting paid millions less, thats why i cant see this fight happening because Hopkins wont travel even thouh he probably makes double in the uk. I see Taylor being the next fight.

I don't see this fight happening. First of Joe has a pretty damn tough fight to get through. And if Joe wins and Taylor moving up after the Pavlik fight, win or lose that's the fight I think. But for the hell of it, if it did happen, would have to be in Europe. Hopkins hardly drew in Vegas, and if they fought at Yankee stadium like Hopkins suggested after the fight, well that would look like an embarrassment of a crowd. For the money I could see Hopkins going over to Europe.

Do you think, i dont, he tunred down nearly six million $$ four years ago, why would he travel now? I knoe Calzaghe will travel if he is paid the amount he can be paid in the Uk, but he wont, shame really people will slag Cazlaghe saying he should travel etc etc, but put yourself in his shoes 35 years old end of the road is coming you want to make as much money as possible, and i think it's Taylor in Cardiff.

I think we're kinda on the same page. I think the biggest fight for Joe would definately be Taylor. I think Hopkins showed after last weekend that he's not drawing in his fights, and Joe isn't really a big name here. So if it did happen the money would be in Europe, I think at this point in his career Hopkins is looking for the $$$. But in reallity I don't think Hopkins-Calzaghe will happen.

This fight will happen!!! If Calzaghe beats Kessler

I think both of them really feel as though they can beat the other fighter.. and i think they both really feel the other fighter is a little overrated..

All big fights make good money in the US making money will be know problem...

I really feel both want the fight badly

I think it has to be in the UK because Calzaghi is not very big in America and Hopkins isn't exactly going to draw the crowds in either due to his style. In England Calzaghi is loved and the put im on ITV all the time, the fight would sell out here o problem but in america i think its like flogging a dead horse (mainstream wise)

It will never happen. I have a strong feeling Calzaghe isnt gonna want to fight again after Kessler win or lose.

Calzaghe recently said that he was unimpressed with Hopkins against Winky and that Hopkins would have to "get in line".

Financially the most money would be made in Wales due to the large crowd but I personally think Joe should fight Bhop in the US.
