arent forrest and baldomir fighting for the wbc jr. middle strap that was vacated by mayweather? cant imagine either of them dropping down or cotto moving up
The chances of Cotto facing the winner of Forrest-Baldomir are about the same as the chances of Cotto fighting me next.Originally Posted by El Gamo
Is this old news? I hadn't heard anything.
There's an article on another website about Jorge Linares, if you look at that, it has Bob Arum saying that talks for the fight are going nicely and that a possible date would Nov. 10 at Madison Square Garden.
Sounds possible, I hadn't heard anything about it. Would be nice.
ok, now there's an article on fighthype.com saying that its official, that Cotto-Mosley is set for Nov. 10 at MSG
I got this info from that article and nothing has been set in stone anywhere.Originally Posted by OumaFan

Well I don't know much about that web site ither but I am not sure I would trust the information from a web site called fightHYPE....
It looks like a decent site actually, just cause I haven't heard of it doesn't really mean much. I only go to 2 or 3 sites besides this one.Originally Posted by The Rookie Fan
Who knows, they say its official. Guess well see.
This is interesting. boxingconfidential.com has Arum quoted as saying that the Cotto-Mosley fight isn't totally finalized, that it would probably be November but could be December. I don't know if that story came out before the other site said it was done.
But Arum is quoted as saying that Oscar De La Hoya is interested in fighting Cotto on Cinco de Mayo. ODLH apparently said that if Cotto beats Mosley than DLH would want to fight him next Cinco de Mayo.
Now that's Bob Arum, he's been known to talk S*** but it seems plausible. Cotto-ODLH would make a ton of money, assuming Cotto could get by Mosley. Arum has been talking with Oscar and Golden Boy promotions so something probably is happening.
Boxrec has Cotto-Mosley listed. For what that's worth. Looks like a definite possibility though.
That was a joke by the way. I have little doubt that this fight will get made. When everybody wants it and nither fighter is known for unreasonable demands with regards to money. But I guess I'm never sold untill I see something on fightnews saying something along the lines of "Cotto - Mosley, Its on" and then I'll be likeOriginally Posted by OumaFan

I know you were joking about the name, and I'm with you on the fightnews thing, that's why I didn't put that it was totally official on it. I just don't know if its a totally reliable site, but something's clearly happening, and its pretty clear that the fight will happen.Originally Posted by The Rookie Fan
I took a look at a couple other forums to see if they had anything and every one I looked at was saying the fight was officially set because of the article on that site. So it definitely seems like its happening. But it would be nice if fightnews had Arum saying it was set.

I'll go with Mosley to pull off the last big win of his career. Shane's retirement is coming soon. He has at most 3 fights left. I don't think he can beat Mayweather. So a win over Cotto will cap his career.
Umm this is tough one to call Mosley is slighty past his peak but he is still very very fast i think his enough speed to beat Cotto but Cotto is good at closing the gap like he did with Judah i really can't split em to be honest.
