CC,that's my point. Tony did well and had he started letting his hands go earlier, who knows? That's a topic for discussion on another day.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

Yeah I see the rematch going a little differently, as I think Margarito will work alot more in the early rounds. I wonder if he thought PW would tire out in the middle rounds and not keep throwing a billion punches. Ice is correct, PW is a freak of nature and if he learns or has the ability to sit down on those punches, it would be big trouble for everyone in that division; he's already big trouble right now anyways. Tony didn't get beat down in that fight, just outworked, simple as that imo.
Nice logical, common sense posting. I like. Have like your 4th CC this week from meOriginally Posted by LEGION

I think PW would be awesome if he could generate more power but then that would take more out of him,so he would not be able to throw as many I don't think.
If they ever do rematch it would be nice to see Margarito jump right on Williams and try and go punch for punch with him i don't think i've ever seen a Welterweight with PW workrate its just a crazy amount and i think people are writing off Margarito too quickly for losing a decision to a fighter like PW and plus Margarito gave great account of himself coming on in later rounds i think i need to put Margarito in my avatar for a while because i hate it when people write other people off for no good reason.Originally Posted by El Gamo

CC's right back to you guys
PW is no joke, and people better wake up to that. Margarito's mindset is to just let you wear yourself down or he'll do it for you. He seemed really frustrated and who could blame him? He's going to have to pull a Hatton type fight and just jump on the dude if they fight again, but they better get Margarito in the best condition of his life to keep up a pace like that. Though I don't want to sound like the guy who says "this one is the one to beat Floyd"; PW will give Floyd fits, because PW doesn't forget his jab; in fact that's the only thing he remembers, and with that heigth, it could be very interesting. To me, and no disrespect to Gamo, I think if Floyd is leery of anyone in that division, PW is the one who gives him the most pause to get in the ring with.
I think Hatton was exposed not ill prepared....he might dominate a bit 140 and below...but his lack of year round conditioning comes into play with the top fighters......Hatton no longer can have the partying lifestyle and expect to beat top fighters let alone PBF!!!! ooops sorry...."Money". Money can fight any day of the year.....I'm sure Collazo is similar....also Hatton isn't big enough physically.....His frame/body can't function properly at the higher weight....we'll see soon enough.....I've been wrong before.....Originally Posted by BIG H

Even if your opinion is that he was exposed, you can't deny he was ill prepared. Only started the move up to 147 a few weeks before the fight, blew up again to 160 and fought at 155. For a guy whose whole game plan is stamina and workrate to be carrrying an extra 15 pounds is poor preparation - and that it acknowledged by him and all of the campOriginally Posted by THE Bigragu
