I've been studying Finito Lopez and I definetly think he deserves a mention, however surely Willie Pep has the top spot.

Thats a list, I don;t know who's anywhere near the best but Fenech, Galaxy and Arguello are relevant today, some guys when you watch them fighting way back when, they get the hairs up on the back of your nexk like your watching it live. Jeff Fenech defines my type of fighter.

I had to really think when doing this list theres so many great little fighters that you easily forget and yes Fenech was great loved his war with Nelson.

Bobby Chacon - exciting but NOT hall of fame
JMM - Ditto but a slight level above
Flash Elorde - The best Filippino fighter until Pac retires....
    Jorge Paez - NO
    Manuel Medina - Bigger NO
Vicente Saldivar - Great guy. Very tough
    Fighting Harada - A top 30 Champion.
Gilberto Roman - Good but not great
Naseem Hamed - A La Tyson. Stopped 'Boxing' and followed the punch too much...
Ray Famechon - Good buit not proper world class.
Davey Moore - Early riser. Exposed by Duran - Unless we mean the 60's fighter and thats another story.
Kid Chocolate - Proper proper class..
Eusebio Pedroza - Difficult to judge. Dirty fighter, great record
Miguel Canto - Skills, skills, skills....
    taans,
As honest and sincere as I can be with you I gotta say your cutting a handfull of those fighters short.

By any means Am I saying they are at the top of the list. I mentioned those names cause they sure as hell were at one point or another some of the best around. Theres a few there that threw me off there with your comment. The one that sticks out the most to me is Gilberto Roman, he is argueably the best Super Flyweight ever (Yes, I know Jimmy) Roman was very gifted boxer puncher, he hit well with both hands during the time of his losses to Konadu & Moon he was struggling with weight but even then no shame in loosing to them they both went on to become very prominent champs in their respective divisions. Not a lot of people have seen much of Roman why he and Galaxy never fought is beyond me, but I do know that back in those days Laciar, Rojas were the top boys he fought them Roman has easily fought 4 out of the top 15 Super Flys. Laciar, Rojas, Moon & Watanabe. I'd also like to mention that he passed away sadly in a car accident at just 28 yrs. of age. IMO Roman would have moved up in weight and would have championed there at Bantam and would have solidified his career even more then what he already had.

taan I can respect your comments but I don't agree with them.

The Davey that fought Duran was know as Davey 'Boy', the Davey I was on about is another Davey.

Dan the Davey ending is really sad and IMO one of the oddest things to happen in boxing.

yea the way sanchez career ended reminds me of pancho villa. they may have been two guys victim of history repeating it self. When the world finds a great fighter, for some reason nature takes them away too soon.
