Blimey, thought I was cynical f*****.

I don't think you guys are giving Khan enough credit. Yes he comes across a bit thick but he's been representing England/Britain as an amateur boxer since he was a kid. Just maybe Khan appreciates that "pompous British flag" and appreciates without having that flag draped around his neck he wouldn't be where he is now.

You guys are calling him a FAKE and a LIAR. Isn't that unfair?

Personally i'm ONLY interested in Amir Khan the BOXER. I couldn't care less about - whom he chooses to represent, what his religion is, what he wears on his shorts etc.. likewise with Hatton, Naz, Lewis, Calzaghe.....

And i'm sure Hatton supports Man City 99.9% more than he does Britania.
Flipping heck Fenster...has hell frozen over and I actually agree with what you're saying. CC bro, that's my view on things too, and people shouldn't be reading so much into what the hoo-ha around him is and let him do his talking in the ring.
but thats the thing he isnt just doin his talkin in the ring is he
he's makin stupid claims about what he can do and wen and then fighting school teachers
now as an amatuer turned pro he is making the right steps and goin up the ladder properly but.......................
then he is spouting i can do this that other etc.............

and that just puts me off.

For fucks sake, Rhun. Surely you don't think i'm serious when calling Calz-Kess "an all England fight" or calling Calzaghe a "Londoner" or calling you "truely English".. I assure you all done firmly tongue-in-cheek, old son. Maybe I need to resort to your SARCASM smiley.

So do 60% of the other fighters in Britain, and probably around the world. They all spout off about how they're gonna become world champion, and do this that and t'other, but the main difference here is that Khan is in the public eye more often. And seriously, looking at his past two fights and the next one you're agreeing that its steps in the right direction, so can't you just look past the talking he does and see that he's just a young lad on the way up with real potential, and could become one of Britain's next big fighters?

    Go on.

And someone tell Fenster to remember to use his :sarcasm: smiley.

It is difficult for a big name "Black" fighter (I use the term Black in the political sense and not skin colour) because it is damed if you do, damed if you don't. Bruno was seen in the Black community as as sell out and Lennox referred to him as such. All I can say is that Amir should be judged on what he does in the ring and his actions and behaviour outside as it does have an impact in society. As long as he is happy he has done it his way then he can be happy, and people make mistakes so he should not be penalised for his as long as he recognises it and makes the changes.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
