Nothing comes remotley close to the Earl/Katsidis fight for me...
Yeah there have been great 'Bouts' this year but a fights a FIGHT and f*ck me that was a proper fight while it lasted
A fight involves 2 people absolutely tearin it up....

Katsidis vs Amonsot was WAR baby!!!!

That was one of the most exciting fights & blood baths that I have ever seen...well...this year I reckon.

I agree, that fight has to be one of the strongest candidates in my opinion too. I guess it also boils down to preference but no doubt we have had plenty of great match up's this year and a few more to come so overall boxing has been good this year.

What's funny is...most of the goodies get over looked due to the fact that they are bundled in with these super fights & smacked into the undercards.

Many people just miss out on the best fights of some of the rising star's careers.

I think people are confusing "Fights of the year" with "Good fights of the year" two totally different things.
The week that the fight took place I burned Katsidis vs. Earl & Jorge Castro vs. Jackson I on the same disc and watched it about 30 times in a week. Every now and then I like to throw it on just for kicks...
I mean Earls corner throws in the towel while Earl is being hit, good ol' Micky Van picks up the towel throws it out and BOOM! Down goes Kats.
That was fucken crazy and talk about 2 fighters going back and forth...

I think you have totally misunderstood what im saying i said Katsidis vs Earl was great fight but too one sided to be FOTY because except for flash knockdown Earl got it was a beatdown great fight but not FOTY when im mentioning Carlos vs Forrest im not saying its FOTY im saying it was good fight and one of the good fights of 2007 that i enjoyed.

Taylor vs Pavlik is FOTY for me.
