Yes, ODLH started at SuperFeather OK.... That was how long ago? Who cares at what weight a fighter started.
Winkys best weight is Light Middle.... OK.. Hopkins beat him and that's that.

You know what...you just raised something that I've been wanting to ask...so think it over before you jump right in.

I saw Hopkins vs Wright...& walked out of the bout at the start of the 11th round in disgust...which has no point...but once I start drinking...

    Anywho!

    The question :

Had Wright & Hopkins fought at 160lbs...do you not think that the outcome would have been different?

    I do. I always will...after watching that S*** live & on tape...I will.

I hated that gotdam fight...& I always will. It could have been so much more, IWHO, had Winky been at 160lbs & had there been a competent referree on the mat.

    Mick...thougths?
I don't think there would be much difference i know Wright was flabby and ect but Hopkins would have still figured him out no matter what weight they fought at i still see close SD for Hopkins see thats why i could really never be a fan of Hopkins Wacko he was exciting in his early career but he did have some right stinkers and they sent me to sleep.

Overall Record In Middleweight Title Fights.

    Carlos Monzon = 15-0
    Marvin Hagler = 13-1-1
    Bernard Hopkins = 20-3-1 1 No Contest
    Sugar Ray Robinson = 8-6-1

I think i got this all right not sure though but i just done this so everyone can see the stats.

Good for comparrisons ICE but on Hopkins as far as best wins and maybe not big names I'd take off 1st Allen fight and maybe even Simon Brown ,just my opinion but brown was Alll done and shouldnt have been in there with B-Hop.
Toss in Joe Lipsey assasination and burial,Keith holmes in Middle turny(though Holmes ran a track meet) and at the great risk of being laughed at....Gilbert Baptist #5 or 6 top ten coming in off Iffy calls vs.Vincent Pettway and world ranked Otis Grant.
I don't know why i didn't include Keith Holmes because i was thinking about him when i was doing the list but because i had so many names in my head i forgot but thanks for reminding me i'll add him.

    Really.

Totally will disagree here on this one.

Wright came in just below where I was sitting. I could see that fwocker jiggling as he walked...& I aint foolin & there's no way that I can say I don't feel that he'd do better at 160lbs...in fact...I know that he wouldv'e.

Hell he just went toe to toe with Taylor & got a "draw"...it's not a forgone conclussion that Wright could have won.

Tactically...Hopkins fougth smart & many didn't like that especially when treated to his early career blitzes...but after the Jones fight...the Nard changed his entire plan of attack & it made him who & what he is today...one of the most impossible fighters to handle in the game.

Hagler would have had a terrible time avoiding Monzon's huge right hand. Impressive vid though and Hagler was very, very good but i give the nod to the nasty Argentine in any match up with Hagler.

Monzon was to robotic for me to be the best of all time.
SRR would have shood Monzon on his head , and Marvin would have walked through him inside 12 for me
but Carlos was a top fighter for sure

SRR would have not chance in hell beating Monzon people overate SRR look at who beat him at middle weight. And Monzon only loses were in his first few fight after that he never lost again Middle weight was his weight it would be a UD for Monzon hands down.
