I'm serious about the hair. Anyone can talk jabs and left hooks to the body. I think he looked better with it than he does without it.

Why the change? I'm curious to know.
Having braids and fighting is a distraction.Having too much hair is a distractions too, hence ALOT of fighters have/shaven heads.
Then Gamo, can you send Briggs a memo and tell him to get to the local Super Cuts, cause' I know his hair is a distraction to me.

P.S. Cotto was cuter with his hair, now he just looks like a bully.

Cotto began to shave not only his head but his whole upper body including his underarms. The duct tape people are using on thier gloves is just a nuisance to the body hair. Cotto would use those cornrolls and from what I have heard do more damage since they absorb more of a punch. A slick shinny head with a little vasiline can help slip a punch and there is no hair to get snagged by any tape.

    BTW.

This has to be the most ridiculous post I have read in sometime:

I dont know if I can be a Cotto fan he looks like a homicidal maniac. Just look at his eyes after the Torres knockdown, He had that look like he wanted to pull a shank out a just stick Torres right there in the ring.
So, you watch boxing and like fighters because of what they look like? LMAO!
Your post is totally absurd. Go watch Golf.

Cotto is brilliant for boxing - a young, talented champion who is willing to fight anyone. Love the way he can adapt his style depending on the fight, and he has proven that he can react quickly to real pressure. Added bonuses are that I think he could handle a move up in weight eventually, and he seems to be a good bloke outside the ring. A fight with Mayweather or Hatton, regardless of the result of their fight, would be something to really look forward to.

    All I'm saying is this...

If I were a pro boxer and someone bumped into me in line to see I Am Legend, instead of saying, "you have the best body attack in the fight game, BG." I'd really be happy if they said, "you know something, friend, you looked a great deal tougher with the mini-fro. Just think about it."

You what bothers me is that is easy to talk crap when you see it 1 time but actually is no enough because wether you want it or not you will likely see what the commentators say and the network replays and get you going. you just have to watch it more than once to really apreciate what really went on.

I have watch the round 9 about 5 times. Cotto just came in boxing that is all and then Kellerman as always start it to say "Cotto is in trouble " blah blah blah... then Cotto hit Mosley woth left and rights and Shane only landed 2 god rights and that is the only thing they showed in the replay it was discusting.
The same goes in round 12 Cotto did a great job in that round but again he came out boxing but nooo the want the Cotto that fought Corley in the first round with a great championg in Mosley he is not dumb.

Cotto came with a great plan to box Mosley and did it beautifuly.
It got me wondering how many of you just watch the fight one time only and then talk here so sure what really went down with all details.

Kellerman's commentary you can just throw out the window, he was so sure Shane was gonna be too much for Cotto. Emmanuel and Lampley seemed to favor Cotto a tad, maybe because he won. What was Ledermans card btw?I forgot. Sometimes his scorecards just piss me off. Am I wrong but wasnt he an offical judge before, I bet they revoked his license. The fight was pretty damn close tho IMO so you cant really blame either they both had their moments. I really thought Shane had Cotto around round 10, Cotto looked like he was running on e. The bell kind of saved Cotto in the 10th. Cotto outboxed Shane for the first half of the fight. Shane did mmuch better when he was on his backfoot moving and potshotting, but he is Shane and has to mix it up.

OK the last statement was exactly what I was refering to. Cotto was just Boxing Shane going back. How many times have you watch the fight?

Ive seen it only once on a shitty feed that paused every once in awhile. But I think it was in 11th or 12th, Cotto boxed beautifully, he really surprised me with the versatility, never knew he had the jab. He's gotta win fighter of the year, or is it Floyd if he wins? How would you decide between those two? Cotto fought Urkal also this year so 3 fights edges 2 :P You cant deny he was in trouble at the end of the 10th tho. I think it was the 11th and Shane was getting cocky, bouncing side to side and throwing the lead right ,after hurting Cotto a bit. Dont quote tho, Im not 100% sure.

The more of Cottos fights I watch the more of a fan I become. Cotto won so much respect off me for the way he bashed Zab Judah up and although Im gutted that Mosley (my fav fighter) lost I am glad that he lost to such a good fighter as Cotto. I too thought that Cotto was a one dimensional fighter and was very robotic in the way he moves but as I said in his last few fights he has totaly proved me wrong and won me over as a fan and like Mosley he is a very respectful fighter in and out of the ring!!

I will always be a Mosley fan , shit I was 50/50 in this fight and I'm Puerto Rican. but Cotto won it no doubt UD.

I just Hope MOsley fight one more time and goes out with a W. Not that he did a bad job in this one. HE is the only decent thing that GBP has. pure class
