There is only one problem here. I like Ricky Hatton and I like Brits so, it ain't happening.

Mine is, Mayweather by late tko or UD. I think his speed will be too much and will just pummel hatton.

Mayweather by late stoppage. Either cuts, a Hatton closed eye, or accumulated punishment.

Hatton to do the same to Mayweather that he has done to pretty much all the other 43 fighters he has beaten

Start very energetically and win the first few rounds on workrate, at the same time starting to tire out the opponent. (rds 1-4)

As the opponent gets more tired and slower, start taking more chances and throwing heavier shots. (rds 5-6)

As these shots have a much greater impact, the opponents guard starts falling to pieces, and their desire to compete and self belief falls apart also (rds 7-

Then the shots are heavier and heavier, the rib crunchers are more and more frequent, until finally exhausted the opponent understands they have no chance of winning, the pain is unbearable and pointless, the only result from continuing is possible long term health risks, hence at some point a well placed Hatton shot persuades them to go down and not get up again.

    Hatton KO/TKO rds 8-11

I'm going with the general consensus with Mayweather via UD or late round stoppage.

I wouldnt mind seeing Hatton win, but I cannot picture it.

Are you smoking crack? Hatton is not more accurate than ODLH, ODLH is miles ahead of Ricky Hatton in terms of boxing ability. Mayweather rhythm and defense just made him look bad. And ODLH is much stronger than Mayweather or Hatton. I understand that you guys want Hatton to win but let's deal with reality, stop making stuff up so that you can actually believe Hatton has a shot.

If it goes down like that...i would be thrilled. But it's not only a speed and skill issue that Ricky has to contend with...it's also a stamina one. Hatton fought relentlessly against KT...and he deserves credit for that. But he was fighting in front of his home crowd against a fighter who wasn't in his prime. We all know Floyd will be in tremendous shape. I have no question Hatton will be as well. But Hatton has to drop nearly 30 pounds between fights! That kind of ballooning up and down has to have an effect on his stamina. You know Floyd will be running and dancing all fight long. Can Hatton chase him non stop for 12 rounds while punishing Floyd's body? If he can...it will be an intriguing fight. I just don't see it happening. Floyd by UD. Hope i'm wrong!

i can't see hatton winning this on points. PBF isn't stupid enough to go to war with hatton either

If he doesn't get cut though I don't see him getting stopped either. He is going to be in shape of his life

hatton by TKO in 11 in a fight for the ages

and i will be able to look back and say "I was there"

I respect your opinion.. but I vehemently disagree.

In many ways, the Castillo fight is the best thing that happened to Hatton: it recaptured his fan excitement and support that he had lost, it got him the forum for a big payday with FMJ, and it put him in a power position with HBO.

But in other ways, that fight may also hurt him. The outcome of that fight seems to be shaping who he is - especially among his fans. It is almost as if his entire previous career didn't happen. Hatton stans are raving about Castillo's four broken ribs (never happened) and predicting that Ricky will annihilate FMJ.

Ricky is not that type of fighter. That Castillo punch was a lottery punch. Just like Nard's punch on Oscar was atypical for him.

    Hatton's last few fights:

    Castillo - 4 rounds

    Urango - 12 rounds

    Collazo - 12 rounds

    Maussa - 9 rounds

    Tszyu - 11 rounds

    Oliveira - 10 rounds

    Stewart - 5 rounds

    Vilches - 12 rounds

    Pedersen - 6 rounds

    Tackie - 12 rounds

    Rios - 10 rounds

    Phillips - 12 rounds

His five-fight average prior to Castillo was ELEVEN ROUNDS. With that trend, I think it's fair to say that Hatton is more of a "wear you down" puncher than the "devastating" puncher that his stans try to paint him as. And that Ricky seems to be projecting himself as.

There is a reason that the over/under in this fight is 11.5 rounds...and it isn't just Floyd.
