I love that fight!!! CC Mate.....TBH IMO announcers can make a moment even more exciting if they are decent and comeout with the right catch line...

When Tyson went down and the ref waved him out...Lampley screams out with true excitement (I think he wanted Tyson to lose lol)...

"LENNOX LEWIS HAS BANISHED MIKE TYSON FROM THE UPPER STRATOSPHERE OF THE HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION"...Classic Stuff

Another all time favorite by an announcer....

Larry Merchant turning his back on Frank Warren and Rolling his eyes when Frank tried to get a word in after the Manfredo fight and Larry interviewd Calzaghe...The look on Warrens face was priceless enough for a Mastercard commercial....

Ricky Hatton licking his hand and fixing Larry's hair in a post fight interview
There was a post probably two months ago that asked about everyone's favorite commentating team. If i remember correctly, the majority of people HATED Jim Lampley. In my opinion, anyone who thinks Jim Lampley isn't good for boxing commentary is completely off the reservation. He makes fights that much more interesting to me.

Everytime I watch the last round of Corrales vs Castillo when Corrales turned the fight around, I always wonder how much more exciting that moment would've been with Lampley calling the action.

I don't really like or dislike Lampley, but Merchant grows on you like an inoperable tumor and Kellerman gives me the creeps. He should have played Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs. I would rather have Lewis, Foreman and Jones Jr. commentating

I used to hate Merchant! I thought he was such a d*ck the way he used to make people feel like crap with his interviews. Now I love the man. I can't explain why, I just do. I don't like Kellerman either. Yet again, I can't explain why, I just do. Foreman's quotes are just the best!

Watching Lewis getting knocked down by a single punch to the jaw against McCall and Raham. He was being interviewed by Larry Merchant and Lennox Lewis goes "Well, it was just a punch, didn't really hurt" or something like that and Larry goes "It had to hurt if you couldn't get up" HAHAHAHA! Classic! I will look for that video again to see what exactly they said but Lewis pretty much was not being THAT humble and Merchant made sure he was.

Watching Naseem Hamed getting a boxing lesson by Marco Antonio Barrera. I think Naz took the loss quite well, I was impressed. I wonder how Floyd Mayweather will take it if he looses (if he ever does).

When Larry Merchant was interviewing Floyd Mayweather and Merchant mentioned how the crowd was leaving in the middle of the fight because it was not THAT exciting and Floyd got a bit pissed and tried to get back at Larry.

Merchant is a guy that grows on you,,,I think it is the way he puts things at times and then after a while you appreciate his style of bluntness....Max is just annoying because he has to act like a know it all and always try to one up someone

I find that you can trace where you were in life by the many memories you experience watching and Living the moment of a fight.sort of like a favorite song and exactly what you were doing when you heard it first.

Evander Holyfield Vs. Mike Tyson 1....I love this fight,a round by round destruction of Tyson.I remember Alot of people actually voicing "fear" for Holyfield.

Michael Carbajal KO of Humberto Gonzalez. This was pure gold and a great experience that I'll never forget. They had Dual announcer's with Michael Buffer and Jimmy Lennon.Dual Blow by Blow team with Chik hearn and Al Berstein,Million dollar gate for 1st time at Lt.Fly I believe.
Carbajal got absolutely pulverized in the 2nd and 5th and was 4 points down on all cards, somehow pulled him self off the mat and In the 7th turned Gonzalez on the ropes and landing a jarring right, missed second one and Came through with hellacious left hook that sent Gonzalez down on his face.
Pounded his waist lookinginto crowd yelling at the top of his lungs as Mills Lane reached 10 count.

Also when a No-hoper Journeyman is brought in to lose against prospects or Champions and pulls off huge upset.I love Upsets and underdogs.Regardless of who the Favorite fighter is.

God i was so happy to be a boxing fan.

A very close second was Diego's Ko over castillio. My heart is still trying to recover

No joke mate, nearly pissed myself laughing just reading that.
