If Tito wins it will be about how Roy is way past his best and in his Prime he would have dominated Tito and Tito will lose to Hopkins again if they meet...OR it will be a bunch of post on how Tito wants Calzaghe.....OR 10,000 threads on "Tito is BACK"......

With that out of my system

Unless Trinidad has added some serious muscle we don't know about IMO he is in trouble....He will try to be the aggressor and Roy will counter off the ropes.....and if Trinidad can not make Jones respect his power early I call it for Jones by Dec.....Not sure if Roy has the KO goods any more

Whilst i agree 90& Tito has been reported to have lifted a lot since "retiring"
He's lifted his fork a lot. He's lifted a lot of drinks.

I bet RJJ Vs Calzaghe would have doubled it, I don't know what he's getting for this fight, but I am almost positive a fight against Calzaghe would sell out Millenium Stadium in Cardiff.

I think what they lose on the gate (Tito's fans will sell out MSG) they'll make up in PPV, also RJJ can still make money after this easy win. If he fights Calzaghe he's done.

I can't see Tito winning this fight. Roy aint what he used to be, but the fact is he was a solid 175lb fighter, and even showed that he had enough power to hurt a HW in John Ruiz. Like someone said before, Tito was small at 160. IMO Tito is not quick enough, and too small to bother Roy.

So it all depends on what Roy wants to do. IF he wants to stop Tito, IMO he can do it. If he wants to box smartly and take the decision (which is what he seems to want to do lately, it sounds like he doesnt like knocking guys out anymore), than he can do that no sweat. A Tito victory would be an INCREDIBLE upset.

If Tito could somehow pull off the win, it would be upset of the year, no matter what else arises.

shza, first of all I said comparable, not better or the same.

    1. Please explain to me how he's competitive in power. He's a welterweight. Roy has KO'd plenty at light heavy.

There is no reason for us to conclude that Tito will have no power at 170. It is a mith that his power diminished at 160. His 3 wins were by KO. Two of them were against guys that had never been down before, much less knocked out. There is nothing to tell us that it won't be the same at 170.

    2. Given this fact, chin is completely irrelevant -- though it probably favors Roy anyway (Tito's ability to withstand welterweight shots says nothing about his ability to absorb punishment from a light heavyweight).

Why is chin irrelavent? It is possible the most relavent sinse most agree that Tito's best chance is to KO Jones. And what makes you think it would favor Roy. He made his entire career on not getting hit. As soon as he lossed a step and started getting hit, he started going down.

    3. Roy's stamina is fine. Tito has put on 20 pounds of fat and sat on his a** for the past 3 years.

Tito's best asset has alwais been his stamina, never has he ran out of gas. He may have put on some weigh but he has no vices and he alwais trains hard for every fight.

    4. Roy has more experience. Objective fact.

Again, I said comparable. They have roughly the same amount of championship fights. If anything, Tito has more experianced in big events sinse he has been involved in larger PPV fights.

    5. Disagree that Tito will be competitive in accuracy when he's fighting someone twice as fast as he is.

Asside from his performance against a boxing wizard in B-Hop and a deffensive master in Winky, Tito was one of the most pinpoint accurate punchers in the game.

    6. Tito's work rate goes into the toilet when he's getting outclassed (see, e.g., Winky Wright).

He won't get out classed. Roy has no jab and he's no where near what he use to be. Roy's laying on the ropes stategy will only boost Tito's confidence and will produce a higher work rate.

I would be very surprised if Tito won a single round of this fight. And I would have said the same thing when they were both in their primes. An ATG light heavyweight against a very good welterweight? How can there possibly be any question?

Tito was way more than just a very good welterweight. He was an ATG welterweight that would've given any past and pressent ATG welterweight a fight for his life and would have a shot to beat any of them.

I really believe that Tito could have went on for years at 154 and dominated, 160 was simply to big for him, and he should have went back down in weight after the loss to Hopkins sort of like Hatton went back down. But after years of sitting I believe he has simply grown into a bigger fighter, he is my favorite of all time and I think he will KO RJJ

I will accept any and all bets from Rookiefan and brazilianbomber. That is, if you are actually picking Tito to win. I'll even give you an over/under. I say Roy wins either by KO/TKO or by at least 4 points. Name the stakes.

CC shza for the challenge, where are you when I do my prediction threads? I will do one a week prior to the RJJ-Tito fight which you should predict in but a side bet if fine with me. I know Tito is the big underdog but I will give you the benefit of the doubt and take you on 50/50 strait win. I like Tito.

Stakes- If I win you turn your name into BOMBER'S SON for a week, that's not bad at all, and if you win you can choose the name as long as it's some over the line bull, you know we can't do that on this website

All I can say is that Roy is going to run and run and run and run.
I want Tito to win so I hope he can catch this scared little rabbit if not, who knows what the outcome will be and one can never trust the judges. I am rooting for Tito. No prediction here though.

Well if you looked at my first post, I already predicted, against my hart, on a UD for Jones. But who knows, as the fight gets closer I might get braver and start pulling for my boy. I would love to get my hands on some vids of him sparring (I know it's not the same) to see how he looks.

All I'm really trying to say is that the fight will be much more competative than you and some others are predicting. So for now I'll take your over/under bet and say Roy does not KO Tito and will win by less than 4 points. If Tito does that, than he will proove that he is an ATG and that's what I want your name to be Tito_is_an_ATG if not than I'll be OwnedByShza for a week.

If Tito does win than I guess you will have to be Bomber'sSon for a week and then Tito_is_an_ATG for another week LOL.

CC back, let's get it on. I'll get on your prediction thread as well. As for this side bet, your name can be "OWNED BY SHZA" for a week if RJJ takes it. Fair?
