The founder of this wonderful feast of S***
    Well we re-elect his semi-retarded a**
....and he's still better than Gore or Kerry
In what alternate Superman Bizarro world would that be?
If he could find his ass 2 times out of 3 with a map on how to get there, without selling out the American people to his corporate buddies
Well he just wouldnt be him now, would he?

Al Gore would have sold out our economy to save drowning polar bears

John Kerry lost the election that was damned near handed to him by W's miscues in his first term

The one thing these guys never did was RELATE TO VOTERS and that cost them, they acted all high and mighty and like anyone who disagreed with any of their views is an idiot.....as opposed to W who didn't call you an idiot, just unpatriotic.

Now in 2008 we have a chance to make a REAL change, I propose that no one vote for a Bush or Clinton ever again

You mean like that kick ass economy we have now?
As far as "relating" to the voters
If I want a failed buisnessman,Yale Legacy(affirmative action anyone?) to give me a really stupid nickname at a barbeque Ill call George Bush,I want a President Ill call, well frankly, anyone else

Hey like it or not relating to the voters is the A#1 reason Gore and Kerry lost.....they were academic elitists and no W is no great thinker but he came across as a nice guy and that counts for something.

When Al Gore says something like "I invented the internet" it makes him seem pretty fucking stupid too and that's one big reason I am not sold on his Global Warming bullshit but that's another issue

John Kerry's "I voted for it before I voted against it" is just moronic....and Kerry had more than enough opportunities to take out the Swift Boat Vets, all he had to do was release his records and go over them. I don't agree with the Swift Boat Vets....I just don't like John Kerry, talking to Congress with Hanoi Jane Fonda wasn't the brightest fucking idea.

Al Gore didn't ever say he invented the internet. There isn't a single bs Republicasn talking point you don't believe. Even the Moonies needed to be brainwashed. How do they do it with you people?

A little trip on the reality train for you Lyle
Gore didnt claim he invented the internet, what he did claim(and truthfully so) was that as a member of Congress he called for expanded funding of the military Aethernet program, which would be the technological basis of the internet
    Ever so slightly different
Oh,and the picture of Kerry with Jane Fonda at the rally, its a photoshopped internet hoax, that was exposed as such 3 years ago

Al Gore - "During my service in the United States Congress I took the initiative in creating the internet. I took the initiative in moving forward a whole range of initiatives that have proven to be important to our country's economic growth and environmental protection, improvements in our educational system."

John Kerry took sides against the US on what American soldiers did in Vietnam....the same thing Jane Fonda did. I'm not talking about a picture, I'm talking about a point of view.....a point of view if described in picture would be best found in Jane Fonda sitting at a VC Anti-Aircraft gun while preaching against "war".

Being against the War is one thing, being against the soldiers fighting the war is a little different

Wrong again, your taking the quote by Gore out of context,in context, the rest of the quote is "by funding the military Aethernet"
Which indeed create exactly what we're talking over
Gore had faults as a canidate, more wooden then Charlie McCarthey, the PMRC hearings, etc, but give the man his due for what he did do
And as far as Kerry,he served in the damned thing(unlike some people,ie the entire Bush administration) maybe he would have been a little better informed on wether or not we were pissing money and lives down a hole (we were)
Let me explain Vietnam for you
During WW2 the Japanese had control of Vietnam
Ho Chi Mihn kicked them out,not us,him
But we stomped in and gave control back to the French, nothing thrills people more like the forced deposing of a national hero
    Unrest followed(what a shocker)
So in the 50's we start sending in "advisors"(troops)
One of the things Eisenhower said to Kennedy on the day of his innauguration was "Son I think your going to have send some troops in there"
Kennedy takes an attitude of "He's a bastard, but he's our bastard" all through his stay
Johnson sees its a cluster you know what,so he gets the sides to the table, and offers a deal that will get us out.
Oddly enough private citizen Nixon takes a tour of Nam,where recently declassified documents say he had meetings with the South Vietnamese. Those that were there say he swore if they held out,he'd get them a better deal.
After a ton of war crimes, including carpet bombing Cambodia and creating a clear path for the Khmer Rouge and all their "shennanigans" South Vietnam took the exact same deal Johnson offered them in the 60's
Damn if the guy who served in country wasnt exactly right about the wars morality, unlike the guys who heartily supported the war while working on a congressional campaign in Alabama,or a another campaign in Texas,or was having a pinoidal cyst,or working as a speech writer for Nixon, but not in point of fact, fighting the war they loved so.
Funny thing about war Lyle, people die in it
See I grew up in the shadow of Vietnam,my father served as a Marine there, and came back a very twisted man.
The girl next door that I played with as a kid,her dad was a miserable SOB,turns out her only son died when his Huey was shot out of the sky
Those are real people Lyle, and they got really screwed up by that war,it wasnt the peacenik hippies that ended that travesty,it was Ma nd Pa America who'd totally lost their taste for it

You mean as opposed to a "childrens crusade" that ends up with all the children sold in to prostitution?
Keep trying to find that moral high ground

Lyndon Johnson was one of the worst Presidents ever.....his OWN PARTY didn't run him to get re-elected.

Nixon did what he could and when it only expanded the war he got us out...it was a shit or get off the pot moment and we left.

War is an inevitability in the world....look at Africa that entire fucking continent has been in a constant war at least my entire life and the Middle East has never been settled down it's always up in arms and fighting.

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder is also a part of war and it screws people up.....if War was easy the people making the decisions to go to war would be fighting in them

Nope try again,Nixon only pulled us out,and even then not until 75 because he was losing in the polls to McGovren
Johnson didnt want to run again,he pulled his own name out of the hat,he was allready sick, and knew it
Damn, how do you guys fall for this crap
Johnson was allready dying, and he knew it
Not some BS myth of "even the Democrats wouldnt renominate him"
Hint again Lyle,Ann Coulter is a liar, thats whats she's paid to do

The Democratic Party got shaken up by Johnson for signing the Civil Rights Act of 1968 it subsequently broke into 4 factions and Johnson's faction was the smallest consisting of mainly labor unions.

    The 4 factions:

Johnson and Humphrey - Labor Unions and the establishment of the DNP (a mainstay of the Democratic party)

Eugene McCarthy - intellectuals and students (a huge part of the party to this day)

RFK - Catholics and Blacks (once again, another huge part of the Democratic party)

George Wallace - the "Segregation now, segregation tomorrow, and segregation forever" folk who were the Southern Democrats and eventually became Republicans. Here's an interesting fact STROM THURMOND old time racist and South Carolina congressman started out his career as a Democrat.

So you can make excuses for Johnson and then do blurring the facts (what you accuse me of doing) on Nixon.....he was not worried about polls in 1973 he was worried about WATERGATE! Nixon resigned in 1974

Dude, you probably shouldnt want to mention Strom Thurmond, considering he jetted for the Republican Party and was considered an elder statesman there
And by the way it was 64 when Johnson signed the Civil Rights act

Sorry, there were multiple Civil Rights Acts from as far back as the 1850's to as recent as 1991....yes I do believe the one I mean to cite is the 1964 one but there was also a 1968 one.
