Good fight for Haye at Heavyweight to really test out against an opponent who's got some history at that div.

Haye win TKO late rounds in the fight.

Well I actually think this will be close. I love Haye, but this is a fantastic pick of opponent. This will really show where Haye is on the Heavyweight roster and if he destroys him he could be lined up for an early Title shot.

Rahman is on the slide, but still isn't a slouch. IMO Haye by late stoppage. 2008 could be a massive year for Haye.

    WTF?!? Is Rahman still fighting?

Leave it up to the HW division, to keep recycling these old fat pugs, who know only too well that only in the HW division can you keep fighting no matter how fat and slow you get... and where the lack of credible opposition gives anybody a reasonable shot at a "title".

Wow, Haye you devil! You're really letting it all hang out!
Haye will knock him out in 3 or 4 and get the whole of the UK hyped on how Haye is better than Lewis because Lewis took 5 rounds to K.O Hasim and lost once, only to be dissapointed when someone fresh exposes old glass jaw for what he is.
    That made me laugh.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

Thank you!! Now if Haye said 'I'm fighting a NAME at heavyweight' i'd have no complaints..but don't turn around talking rubbish about how we're all gonna think you're crazy for taking on Hasim Rahman!? In fact I think you guys are overating Hasman..Don't be surprised at a KO during rounds 1-4. Dont believe the hype..

To be honest with you mate, I don't think many people are believing the hype when it comes to Rahman.

Come on man be fair. It IS is huge fight for David Haye. He's only ever had one fight at heavyweight before against a virtual unknown and now he's moving up and straight away is fighting one of the most recognisable names in the entire division.

Rahman may not be Wladimir Klitschko or Sam Peter but he's still a 2 time heavyweight world champ and was still one of the top 3 or 4 heavyweights in the world just 18 months or so ago.

It's a fact that of the all the UK's current domestic heavyweights, fighters who have been campaigning at the weight for years, only Danny Williams has EVER fought better competition.

Haye IS making a HUGE statement by exploding onto the British heavyweight boxing scene and bypassing the nice comfortable little merry go round of fights involving Skelton, Williams, Harrison, Sprott, Gammer, McDermot et al and instead going straight for probably the 3rd most well known current heavyweight in the world after Evander Holyfield and Wladimir Klitschko.

Rahman is one of the few names in heavyweight boxing that the casual UK fan can identify with and Haye is taking him on in practically his first attempt as a heavyweight.

You have to give the kid credit, he's already pushed himself further than any of our other heavyweights Danny Williams excluded and who knows what will happen if he beats Rahman.

This is a dangerous fight for Haye but he should win by KO I would imagine. I look forward to this one. People slating Haye for fighting Hasim is a bit much, there are much safer options out there.

Ok good points..I know Haye is better than our recent heavyweights, I never denied that but is that really saying much? The advantage he has is keeping himself in tremendous shape. I don't rate his boxing skills as highly as some of you are though..That bullshit with keeping his left hand so slow has never been exploited because he has never faced anyone fast enough or young enough (as Wasp said earlier) to exploit it. Terry Dunstan or Herbie Hide would have toyed with him IMO at Cruiser. Like I said he'll take Rahman easily. He is better than Williams, Audley and Skelton but Klitschkow will destroy it..either one. Especially Vitali because he has a chin..it will be a case of whenever he hits Haye.
Haye is a talent but don't be dissapointed when he gets knocked out by a young lion with a chin.
Good luck to him until then though. He will be good.
