Default Oh my! Mad ups to Margarito.

Cotto tried.

Cotto vs Margarito II anyone?

Can Miguel bounce back?

Tony was up on 2 score cards.

Will this bring Mayweather Jr out of retirement?

Does Floyd want any of the Tornado? He didn't before.

I guess now we know why. Cotto hit Tony with everything but the kitchen sink and the man just kept coming. Tony is not very polished but damn it does he bring it.

Tony has to have one of the best chins in boxing history, he literally doesn't feel punches.

I want to see Tony vs Williams 2, and Floyd better damn well come out of "retirement" and fight these monsters.

Marg is a bad, bad dude. I was one of his biggest detractors but he made huge fan out of me

i see cotto margarito II.. but how different can this fight go?!?!?!

cotto gave EVERYTHING HE HAD to margarito.. he was hitting clean and hard and as accurate as possible and margarito walked through those punches.. what can you say that Cotto can do differently? NOTHING..

so as far as Cotto/Margarito II, as exciting it would be, i don't see it going any differently, therefore i can understand if it doesn't happen..

does mayweather come out of retirement to fight Margarito? HELL NO.. there is no money in that fight.. all the money was for a Mayweather/Cotto matchup, where you had two undefeated fighters.. that idea is out the window.. whats next? who knows..

No because it would be an earlier Ko next time. Watch PBF come out of the wood wors now. But he will have a hard time to with the Tornado. GO MARGARITO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are a true Cotto fan. But there were many bandwagon jumpers who were shouting "WAR COTTO", so Im sure they wont feel your pain.

But remember this, Danny:

1)You criticized PBF for going on his bicycle.
2)You laughed at Judah for bowing down to Cotto and ending the fight on his knees.

So tonight, Cotto's title was:

Miguel "Mayweather" Judah

Cotto was making margarito miss a lot when he went on his bicycle and pot shotting. At one point i though cotto was going to pull ahead. The problem was he tired from too much bicycling.

They should call Margarito The Titanium Tijuanan.

I don't see how this makes any of you believe Margarito has any sort of chance against Floyd. I mean Floyd is so much better at backing up then Cotto, he's way hard to hit, he's way faster of foot. I think if anything the first 6 rounds showed that Margarito can be badly outboxed, and Mayweather is still head over shoulders the best boxer in the world. Margarito is a good fighter, but no way can he catch Mayweather.

I think Cotto tired from not being able to breath due to his nose and mouth bleeding. The nose gives you the best oxygen intake, and it was bleeding way too much.

still think Margarito is a joke? ill quote you...

Taeth: We'll see ODLH would give Cotto all he could handle if not more... AT this stage Oscar is a way better fight than the current Mosley, and look how that fight turned out... It would be a great fight between Cotto and Oscar, and I am way more interested for that then Cotto fighting a joke like Margarito.

Danny G. I repect you standing by your man and giving props to Margo...but i cannot get this out of my mind a couple of months:

Danny G:
Yes, I said DROPPED. How many Tony fights have you studied? 2?
Watch his whole career and watch him get dropped several times.
Cotto has more than enough tools to win.
And yes I saw the second fight. I said this fight would be no different from the first fight.
Cotto is no Cintron.
Cotto is no Gatti

That little gem was followed by comparing Marg to Gomez…hmmmm looked like Tony flipped that script.
There was some other crap about Cotto doing a rope a dope…nah that didn’t happen eithe. You went on to take away some rep and call me a noob.....beginners luck for me I guess.

I am literally sick right now! This is exactly what I was afraid of when this fight was announced. Cotto couldn't keep up the pace and he was beaten down bottom line. You cannot hurt Tony, but Floyd would still make him look bad. One thing Floyd, is no matter what anyone says is a tremendous athlete, and he would not tire against Margarito. Cotto started getting a little hollywood with those glasses and that outfit to the weigh in. Margarito was reppin' Mexico and Cotto was reppin' Mark Echo WTF! Excuse me for my drunken venting!
I know everything about nothing!

I agree though, Miguel Cotto wasn't fighting Miguel Cotto's fight. as against Mosely, he can counter off the ropes, but he also gets hit way too much off the ropes.

As Hatton, Dela Hoya, Ndou, Chavez, Baldomir would all tell you, when Mayweather doesn't want to get hit its a nightmare trying to hit him even, especially, on the ropes. Also Cotto wasn't tying Margarito up at all when he was on the ropes... Mayweather would slip under the left hook and clinch, move away counter, land some jabs, make Margarito miss 15 punches on the ropes, rinse/dry/repeat.

I liked this fighht.Fun stuff Margarito simply walked him down...point blank but Cotto had moments with stick & move in spots. This was Margaritos game plan executed.Tell ya what...I'd rather see rematch before the either ODH or Mayweather merrit the big show
