    1. Fighter of the year - Joe Calzaghe - No clear cut winner this year. Pacquiao gives the only threat.

    2. Fight of the year - Rogers Mtagwa TKO 10 Tomas Villa - threw caution to the wind and defense out the window. One of the best comeback KO wins...EVER!

    3. Round of the year - Vasquez - Marquez III round 12. Torres vs. Holt round 1was a wild one, but Izzy dug deep when it mattered most and came out in the last round like a house on fire, scoring a knockdown and snatching a win in a very very close fight.

    4. Knockout of the year - Adonis Stevenson TKO1 Anthony Bonsante - Bonsante goes from being stone cold KTFO'd to blowing a fuse after the stoppage in a matter of seconds. Made for classic TV. (ESPN canceling WNF was a pretty bad KO this year too)

    5. Upset of the year - Hopkins over Pavlik - Bernard won the sandwich in the battle of construction workers when no one gave him a shot in hell.

    6. Comeback fighter of the year - Nate Campbell - only 1 fight this year, but really made it count. Same goes for Vitali Klitschko.

    7. Event of the year - Margarito vs Cotto -everyone knew it would be a war and these guys delivered.

    8. Worst fight of the year - Pick anything on an HBO PPV undercard

    9. Prospect of the year - tie, Mike Jones & Alfredo Angulo - you will see Angulo really step it up first, look for Jones in late '09.

    10. Robbery of the year - Chad Dawson over Glen Johnson - not a flat out robbery, more of an injustice. Let's see Calzaghe - Johnson!!!!

I think I just did a terrible mistake, TSN presented Margarito – Cotto after one week, in the evening when Judah fought Clottey and I saw the record after I came back from vacation (I remember I was intrigued when I heard the ring announcer presenting Judah vs Clottey as the main event), anyway my point is there were some good fights on undercard, see the prospects mentioned fights.

    1. Fighter of the year- Joe Calzaghe (I can't believe I'm saying this )
    2. Fight of the year- Cotto-Margarito
    3. Round of the year-Holt-Torres round 1
    4. Knockout of the year Hayes KO of Maccarinelli
    5. Upset of the year- Hopkins win over pavlik. Not the result as much as the manner in which B-Hop administered the beating.
    6. Comeback fighter of the year- A lot will disagree but I say Hatton. He got KTFO off Floyd but has come back with two wins over a decent fighter and another world champion and has shown he is far from shot as some have said.
    7. Event of the year (It could be the Dream Match or an event like Ahmet Oner ringing the bell during the Williams fight or JMM-Pac II) Maybe tonights event. Anything with Oscar is quite a big event.
    8. Worst fight of the year-Valuev-Ruiz II
    9. Prospect of the year- Daniel Jacobs
    10. Robbery of the year- off the top of my head i'd say Spinks-Phillips

It's got nothing to do with the thread, but that's ok. I'm a pro at hijacking/derailing threads. Habs fan?

Ive changed my mind. I want my vote for fighter of the year to be changed to Pacquiao. I was not expecting that at all.

Yeah, I'm a big Canucks fan. 38 years of misery, mediocrity, and losing for the franchise so far. I'm also a Bruins and Wings fan as well, but the 'Nucks are my team.
