Also Mosley is the same elite level of technical boxer JMM was, I am not sure if he has the boxing ability to really exploit Manny's flaws. The only two people around Manny's weight I see that can/could do that are Mayweather and JMM.

People comment about Oscar being weight drained, but fighters who are weight drained aren't 3 pounds away from the weigh-in weight a week and more in advance. I think his corner made the mistake of trying to make him really light on his feet so he could rush in after Manny through that left hand ala JMM, but it really backfired because he wasn't quick enough to do that.
This is a complete fallacy.... being "weight drained" is just a term used to basically say he had no stamina. It is not technical in terms of boxing nutrition. It was obvious that De La Hoya had a lack of stamina for his fight with Pacquiao.

IMO: Pacquiao originally setup Margarito as his target after Hatton, but since that fell through.... Cotto stepped into the #2 slot. When Mosley beat Margarito, Mosley had since murmured Pacquiao's name hoping to get a shot at that mega money. Since JMM defeated Diaz it put him back on the list. So provided Pacquiao comes away with the bigger half of the wishbone the list is like this:

    #1 PBF
    #2 MC
    #3 SSM
    #4 JMM

It all depends on the outcome of Hatton/Pacquiao, Cotto/Clottey and if PBF unretires. It's a toss up as to which is the bigger money draw with Marquez or Mosley. The primary reason Cotto is before SSM and JMM is Cotto is with Top Rank. How powerful is the mega money.......? I don't think we'll see either Mosley or Marquez line up another fight without knowing the fate of Pacquiao / Hatton and Pacquiao's next opponent.
I've heard a number of Pac fans say Manny was weight drained when he got KTFO by singsurat, so if weight drain is a 'fallacy' did Manny lose that fight fair and square?
I did NOT say being weight drained is a fallacy, but being weight drained involves barely making weight at the last second, and cutting a huge amount of weight near fight night. Oscar fought Forbes just fine at 150, then he came down to 147 rather easily, he was on schedule the whole way to the weigh-in, and said himself he didn't have any problems with the weight. The problem was he tried to fight Manny in a more tactical style, they bet all their money that he was the better boxer, and that he would be quick enough if he came in light to catch Manny after that left hand or dictate the pace ala Marquez, but Oscar isn't going to be as fast as a very fast 130 pounder, and Manny didn't load up like he normally does on punches, he was in then used lateral movement, and Oscar could never get set to throw anything, Manny was always on his toes and everytime OScar tried to move in Manny was too quick and scurried out of his way.

I know u didnt say it. Fan Johnny did. As if Oscar was anywhere near his best when he fought Manny.

I won't say he was near his best, but stylewise I fail to see whole lot he could have done to change the fight, he is too slow and that left hand would have landed at anytime in his career. He has always had trouble with faster opponents, because with exception of Mayweather, he has always tried to outbox them instead of trying to use his size and power and be a pressure fighter.

Regarding DLH. Do you still remember how Mosley toyed him in 2000? That's the reason why I started a thread asking if Pac could do a "Shane on DLH"

Shane vs Pac would be difficult to judge coz the two are speedsters.
