i feel like you are looking down at filipinos. pac isnt the only one who had brought pride to the philippines.

Bowler Rafael "Paeng" Nepomuceno, for being the "Greatest Filipino Athlete of All Time", "Athlete of the Century", and "International Bowling Athlete of the Millennium"; for receiving the prestigious International Olympic Committee (IOC) President's Trophy; for winning over 100 tournaments, including four World Cups and two other prestigious international titles; for winning an Asiad gold medal; and for still being an active player

Shooter Jethro "the Jet" Dionisio, for being considered the world's fastest shooter and for being a six-time world champion in pistol shooting; and for still being an active player

Billiard player Efren "Bata" Reyes, for being declared as the best billiard player of all time; for winning the World 8-Ball championship five times; for clinching the 1999 World 9-Ball title; for winning over 100 international tournaments; and for still being an active player
the philippines also has the best pool players in the world.

there are tons of athletes here in the philippines that is doing great worldwide.

now going back to the topic, pac is not as popular as odlh. looks plays a huge factor too and pac is nowhere near as handsome as odlh.
I think both Tim Tebow and Tim Lincecum were born in the Philippines.
Both are Philippine citizens but only Lincecum carries the Pnoy bloodline.

Pac is the most popular boxer since ODLH and he is very well on his way to being up there.
If what we are talking about is popularity alone it's ODLH.

ODLH broke barriers in a lot of countries where boxing wasn't even taken into consideration.
Mick the Grammy's are American though, of course an American boxer will be more popular in America! Manny's global fanbase is rapdily growing however.

I'm would say it's a fair bet that Manny is more popular than Oscar across Asia and seeing as that continent holds well over half the entire world's population I reckon he wins.

What other boxer in the world could fight in a country not his own, against a fighter also not from that country and put on the biggest PPV fight of the year there?

Pac is massive. He may not go to the Grammy's but he does hang out with his country's president!
I would tend to agree with that and i wouldn't be surprised of Pacquiao-Mayweather (admitting it happens) could have more PPV than Mayweather-DLH.
fuck, Nameless is agreeing with me...I change my mind
Actually Bilbo, beside from your deep religious belief (so associated partly with politics as it's associated with Israel), we've not been that far on the rest of the topics, I even remember you and I agreeing that size should be considered among the set of "skills" for the HW and agreeing a lot on the Pac-Mayweather issue. Seems like I can't fit your "arch-nemesis" shoes

just because tim tebow was born in the philippines because both his parents were missionaries, doesn't make him a filipino.

and if you're going to count tim lincecum as filipino, why don't you add every person on earth that has a drop of filipino blood then! this is ridiculous!

Lincecum is half, I would count him as a filipino. Anything less than half IMO can be ignored. The guy you caught your wife with was 49% filipino, so that means he is NOT filipino. So please quit hating our race and stop being so angry at my people. Thank you.

    rain,

you are a very typical filthy, vile pacquiao fan who loves disrespects other peoples families. what happened to you? i thought filipinos were humble, respectful and educated? maybe you got your college degree in the philippines where they give them away! look all over the internet and you'll see how racist, vile and disgusting pacquiao fans can be. i have never seen such hatred for blacks (because mayweather is a potential rival of pacquiao) from anyone. pacquiao fans use vile, racist and degrading language if anyone even suggests pacquiao can be beaten. when it comes to racism, pacquiao fans are definitely world class!

my point was this, tim lincecum, although half filipino, isn't known worldwide. i was talking about manny pacquiao being the only filipino who is known internationally. and it is true that he's the anointed one in the philippines because there are athletic stars there. unless you add billiards or bowling, then you've got a point.

finally, i'm willing to bet you wouldn't say those things about my family, to my face! somehow, you probably consider yourself a tough guy on a keyboard because you degrade and talk shit about other people's families. i only wish you could say those things to my face because you'd be one hurting puppy.
