I don't know who's more gullible the WBA title holder or his fans. I can't believe he's buying into his own hype...Manny Steward throws out a grandiose compliment and the guy takes the bait hook line and sinker!
Manny knows Wlad has this fight in the bag EASY, its just a matter of when Wlad wants to end it is all.
William Hill have Wladimir at 5/4 by stoppage. So my £50 should return £112.50. Not mega money but it should help contribute to my flight over to Canastota to NOT see David Haye one day be inducted![]()

What you keep failing to see is this is the first heavyweight fight in a long time that has had ANYONE talking about. I don't think it really matters if the result is a foregone conclusion. People are arguing about the heavyweights again for the first time in a long time.
I'm actually working the night of the fight. I'm hoping to have the fight on my lap top while I'm djing.
As I've said before wlad is the favourite going into it and rightly so, and he'll more than likely win. But I'm still very excited for this fight.
Oh no doubt Hornfinger its got people excited...I just worry that when all is said and done that the fight will look more like Lewis-Grant than anything good. I hope Wlad gets challenged a bit, if everything is easy for him then he'll continue to not get respect.
That being said I fully expect the idiotic American sports media (namely 'The Sports Reporters' on ESPN specifically Mike 'Commie' Lupica and Mitch 'Elf Ears' Albom') to take shots at both fighters no matter who wins saying shit like "Did anyone know there was a heavyweight fight? Did anyone care? Does anyone know who these guys are?"......that irritates me to no end. American Sports Reporters seemingly uninterested view of boxing (bar Pac-Mayweather) grinds my gears.
And you know what else grinds my gears? You America!

Some vids from SkySports that offer Carl Froch's observations (which I thought were excellent) & also some things from both camps that don't seem entirely right.

The second of those links has some really good stuff. Early on it's established that Haye has stopped sparring 18 days before the fight, which seems ridiculously early to me, while later on the journalist says how Klitschko & Steward seem to be having some disagreements in camp. It may just be a journalist saying something for the sake of it, but if it is true then that could be a real problem. That part is from 6:10 onwards
I saw that video. He said that Wlad was basically saying he is in charge of his training and not Manny. I doubt it though, what would be the point in hiring one of the greatest trainers that ever lived if you were just going to ignore him? If it was said it will just have been to try and stir things up I think. Don't think Haye will fall for it either!
The only "disagreement" Wlad and Manny are having is over when Wlad should KO his opponent. Manny says "I don't see it going past 4" and Wlad says "I want to punish him and knock him out in the 12th round"
Other than that Manny has said nothing but good things about Wlad. He's got to be easy to train because he stays in shape....unlike some other heavyweights.
I hope Haye knocks out Wlad and get some new blood in the HW division.
Haye is on Chatty man now. Class!
