Not sure if this would count, but mine would be seeing Gerald mclellan after the Benn fight.

There is an interview with him on YouTube and it's tragic and heartbreaking.

Feelings are strictly for homos,we'll have none of that.
(its very upsetting to real men like us.)
.......yeah but we still have to give them the right to have feelings. Just because we are heterosexual doesnt mean we (Andre, for example) can tyrannize and be cruel.

This is my kind of thread. Yea I've shed a few tears watching some of my favorite fighters such as Chung Koo Chang, Chico and recently, Roy Jones.

The Korean Hawk, like so many other greats, came back from reitrement due to financial harships. He was a great fighter and a womanizer who cheated on his wife countless time with multiple mistresses. During he short time in retirement, he went around town sleeping with every woman possible so his wife got sick of him and ran off to America with all his lifesavings and the kids. So he came back and fought and eventually landed a fight with an undefeated Chiquita Gonzalez for the WBC Flyweight Title. Chang was not only old but he had many mileage on him and was mere shell of his former self. During the fight, it was just sad to see a once great fighter look so ordinary. It's not as if he took a beating or anything but he just couldn't pull the trigger at the right time. In my mind, he would have beaten Gonzalez at his best and the thought got me watery eyed, just a lil......

Chico is another special fighter who'll I always had a soft spot for and i didnt like the idea of him facing Clottey from the moment I heard about it. Not sure what it was but it seemed like Corrales intentionally wanted to harm himself. It was like a suicide mission. As expected, he took a beating but he took it like a true warrior, a modern gay gladiator. By the 9th round, I got really choked up and it was another one of those sick feelings.. I only watched that fight once and never looked back because it gets me everytime.

Now recently, Roy/Lebedev made me cry the most. It's funny because I wasn't a Roy fan earlier in his career. I became a fan when he lost a step and started losing. I got to appreciate him for his God-like abilities during his prime instead of poking at his resume. I look back, his level of competition is more than good imo. People say he ducked so and so people but the truth is, he fought and beat the number one contenders of his division. And on top of that, he was dominating these bigger fighters like bums. They say he should have fought Darius Michalczewski, but why? He may not have been the linear champion but he was the man regardless and everyone should have came to American to face him. He would have beaten darius anyways no doubt. Well, only after he got old, he started traveling abroad and that Levedev fight got me pretty good. GOing into the fight, I knew Roy was going to outbox him and I admit, I picked him to win by UD and it actually almost happened until those final seconds. Watching him take those last punches put a sick feeling in my stomach, especially when he fell down to the canvas and laid there lifelessly. IM sure everyone knows what I'm talking about. It was one of those ' sick to my stomach ' feelings one gets when they know someone is seriously injured. I saw some woman from his camp ( think it's his wife ) crying and it hit me too..

Sometimes my eyes get watery when I think of how much I love Boxing. When Im watching my favorite fighter Marquez for example, im so amazed by everything he does that i can't help but to choke up..

I've never cried over a fight, but the closest i've come to crying was watching some of the ring deaths over the years, and seeing SRR, Joe Louis, et al, in the last few years of their lives..... Seeing Ali the way he is now is pretty fucking sad as well.

This isn't about a fighter, but Walter Peyton's death from liver cancer was heartbreaking.

I completely agree on both points.

I didn't cry, but I was soooo sick to my stomach. Still to this day, I haven't watched that fight again. Once was enough, especially since I now know that piece of shit could have ended Cotto's career, or much worse, could have killed him.

I did get teary eyed when guys went down, and you know it wasn't good, guys like Victor Burgos and Oscar Diaz.

I did shed a tear of happiness when Martinez beat Pavlik. I was so happy for Martinez.

And I shed many tears from laughing so hard when Cintron did a Greg Louganis out of the ring.

You can't just assume that Margarito was plastered against Cotto too. After all, it was Margo's chin and punch resistance that took him to victory. HIs punching power was secondary..

I know the plaster is a good way for the Cotto fans to use as a consolation but let's be fair. There's no evidence that Margo was illegally wrapped..

Margo was able to take punishment but Cotto couldn't do the same so he lost.

Wow, I never knew that about the Korean Hawk. I knew he had financial troubles, didn't think he got screwed over like that from the wife. God damn women!

Jim Lampley get's misty eyed during any Morales, JMM or ODLH fight.

Don't think I've ever cried over a fight but have gotten really emotional.

Everytime I hear/see Morales get introduced by Buffer...
"De La Zona Norrrte, Tijuana Baja California, Mexico. Errrrrik Terrrrrrrrrrrrrible Mooooorrrrralessss" THAT SHIT GIVES ME CHILLLS.
Seeing JMM fight, period. He's a tactician a mastermind though past his best days he still shows signs of how special he is.
As a kid seeing JCC lose was terrible.
Seeing Alexis get cheated out of his 4th title vs. Pryor.
Seeing Cotto get cheated out by Tony.
When Marlon "Bitch" Wright cheated my boy Andrade out of his HUGE upset win over Bute.

I've never seen them but I would assume that if I ever saw Duran-Joppy, Resto-Collins, Ali post Spinks I'd probably shed a tear.

Watching Ali getting ready for Holmes was horrible to watch. Ali had the moustache, which he never normally had. He was slow and sometimes shakes. Yet no one said anything and allowed him to get in the ring with a great champion like Holmes.

My sister cried in Rocky 3 when Mickey died and Rocky was crying.
