It could be attributed to the fact that his camp wasn't normal due to having to focus on his rehabilitating his knee. Thus, there is a chance that if he is able to completely rehabilitate his body before the training camp for his next fight that he might still have a great performance or two left in him.
I don't doubt he has a few good performances left in him. I think this is a more interesting time in the career of speedsters because the speed and reflexes aren't what they used to be and they have to start really digging deep to pull out the win. It's a lot more compelling than watching a guy potshot his opponent for 12 rounds.

To me it was pretty obvious his knee wasn't ok. Murray fought a hell of a fight and deserved the no but Martinez has previously made mince meat of guys who fight in straight lines. He wasn't able to turn Murray at all, which he has always been so good at and that's what creates a
Lot of his offense using those odd angles. I don't think at 38 that that knee of his will ever heal and restore to previous form. I don't think he was overrated either.

Without a doubt it was his knee. Blind man could see he was having trouble with his movements.
