I get covering expenses and time but I cannot see how they failed to get wind, a hint, an idea or feel that it was all in trouble and don't buy Mosley was shocked or caught blind. They knew it was faultering and just smells strung out for the guarantee. Knowing Fenech did a solid and made an attempt to ensure the general interest of all were meant and the match saved but gets to watch Mosley cash his check just doesn't sit well. Mosley pulled off the impossible and managed to do even less than he did in the Canelo or Pac fights and still pulls a payday. Brilliant! I feel like high fiving him and reading his tips but only by flashlight and taking a bleach shower afterwards. He may be over the hill, and he is, but he has options..still. Fenech got played like a sucker!
He's going to Australia to fight Mundine because he got offered a million dollars. His next fight on a PPV undercard he'll be lucky to get 10% of that. That's why he went to Australia.
Call me cynical, but I cannot swallow that GBP and Mosley entered into that fragile agreement thinking it was more likely to take flight than fail. I think it was played out for pay grab. His next fight shouldn't even be on a PPV at this point but he made 10% + of that for doing absolutly nothing.

He didn't do absolutely nothing. He signed for a fight in Australia. By doing that he gave up domestic opportunities for him to make money. Professional boxers have relatively short careers and the chunk of career he spent getting ready for a fight that was cancelled could have been used getting ready for another fight.

I've seen pictures of Mosley leaving Australia with Sergio Mora. I'm sure Mora wasn't sparring with Mosley for free or paying his own way to Australia. Mosley's trainer and corner people won't have been paying their own way either. Shane is paying out for all that so it's only right he gets his expenses covered as per what was in the original contract.

Mosley got what he's contractually owed. He had a contract of employment and he only asked for the terms of that contract to be adhered to. I'm guessing that everybody here who has or has had an employment contract would on the whole like their employment contract to be respected in the case of any dispute between them and their employer. Why should Mosley be any different?

And something I forgot to mention yesterday. Fenech. Fenech did not put up the 300K because he was desperate to see the fight or he's a massive fan of boxing. He obviously had some involvement in the promotion. He may well have been fucked over and conned by the main promoter, he's lost most of his money in various deals in the past if I remember correctly, but the fact he lost out again isn't Mosley's fault.

Mosley did not do shit wrong they did not have his money that is not his fault i am just glad he got some cash and hope he can make enough to retire. I don't want him to go the road of a Jones or Holyfeild but i think Holyfeild retired for good this time well at least i hope he did because he is like 50.

    Unfortunately Shane will carry on.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
