Comparisons are hard to make with fighters, of different eras Floyd is a good fighter but imagine
him fighting Mike McCallum at light middle hell he would have taken a beating.
Speed SRL also Tommy Hearns, punch volume Pryor the contenders than would be good champions
    now.

Floyd is small for Welterweight...so no idea what bringing McCallum into the discussion proves. No one questions Leonard being the naturally bigger guy. If we use this kind of logic we could also argue that if Sugar Ray somehow fought Floyd at 130-135...Floyd would be the favorite.

May I remind you Floyd was light middle weight Champion so there is your comparison, you fight
at the weight, you face them logic has nothing to do with it.

You seem to still miss the point. Leonard was naturally the bigger man...yes Floyd has won at 154...but that is no where close to his best weight. Floyd was at his absolute peak at 130-140. If you want to discount the natural size advantage a great fighter like Leonard would have at 147 and above...so be it.

I've reviewed Ray Leonard many times. He was a great boxer. He would have been a good opponent for Mayweather. But I don't think he would have proved any more serious threat than say Marquez.

Mayweather UD Leonard most likely outcome and by quite a margin!!

I think SRL wins a clear ud by landing better punches and more often in a boring fight. Mayweather great fight in my top 15 but who the fuck at 147 did he fight that was really great no one really. Hatton eh at the weight, Mosley was 38 had not fought in year, Balomair well shit come on now, and then there Zab i mean pretty weak list. His best weight was 130 and 135 not 147 he has the weakest comp there by far out of all the weight classes. Anyhow i go with SRL i also rate him higher in atg list as well he has got the resume to back up his shit.

Atleast it's a competitive fight for Floyd.

    But not that competitive..

    Floyd UD!

I still say that Zab was winning rounds and deserved a rematch after that 03 fight. And why was Floyd not DQ"d when roger mayweather entered the ring ? I'll never understand that one

Floyd may well have been light middleweight champion but the fact remains that was an inflated weight for him and a very comfortable weight for SRL. Weight may very well give SRL an edge but lb for lb I cannot go past Floyd.

Well you should, Floyd has done nothing that Pernell Whitaker has not already done and most do not consider a great welterweight but do at lightweight.

That's not true. Whitaker was good but he never had the offensive skills or the punch to do what Floyd has.

I can be critical of Floyd's tactical approach to his career as well but to be honest he fought and beat more good fighters than just about any other boxer.

Mosley was old and De La Hoya was not prime either sure, but they were not exactly corpses either. Marquez is a really good fighter among others.

Only thing that hurts Floyds legacy is the absence of Pac on his record. If he should beat Pac there could be no doubt at all imo.

I think the Canelo victory for Floyd was better than the Hagler one for Leonard. That's right, I said that lol.

That being said, Leonard and Hagler were first rate boxers and would be today as well undoubtedly!!

I fell in love with this sport after watching leonard and he's my favorite fighter ever next to Finito but I really dont believe that he could knock out floyd..

It's nearly impossible to knock out a fighter who is so defensive and floyd is on another level when it comes to taking hits. He has a great chin which means he aint going out from a single punch. For leonard to score a ko, he would have to land consistently with combinations and wuth barrage of punches and i just dont see floyd getting hit like that.

Sugar Ray Leonard had popping power in both hands. Lightning fast. Would have outsmarted Floyd. Leonard had more versatility. Boxer, puncher, dancer, hell I seen him slug some fights out like a slugger. He would solve Floyd just like Maidana solved Broner.
