"Another Eastern Euro monster"
“If you want loyalty, buy a dog.” Ricky Hatton
Anything Teddy Atlas says.
Where to begin ?
There are so many things that people say in boxing that are over-used. The ones that come to mind :
"Styles make fights" (Like they are trying to sound enlightened without actually having to make any analysis whatsoever)
"Gunna bring my A game" (Yeah because he normally brings his C and D game to a fight)
Before The Fight : "Its been a perfect training camp, everything went to plan and I feel 100% coming into the fight."
After The fight : "Things didn't really go well in training. I injured my hand in sparring early on and didn't get the rounds in I should have. Also, I was attacked by a bear while I was out running, he mauled me pretty good. Thats why my performance was a bit off tonight"
"I just didn't have it tonight. I dont know what it is, I just didn't have it tonight." (Usually said by a fighter who thinks on anothe night he would have had him)
'im in the best shape of my career' (zzzzzzzzzzzz)
"I don't want to take anything away from (opponents name), but......" (This is a classic one)
''That wasn't the real (......) in there tonight'' (Using cliches and talking in the third person. Thats annoying)
"Once he hits you, you stay hit" (What does that even mean ? One of the commentators said it before the Deontay Wilder fight)
"I never watch tapes of my opponents" (Classic macho boxer talk where he's tryna act like a real bad ass)

The most incorrectly and overused term in boxing.
Dark Al Lord, is knowledgeable in boxing.
The 'boy' is a joke.
I hate the notion that a challenger has to 'take' the belt from the champion. Winning the fight on a round by round basis often doesn't appear to be enough. And that's wrong.

The use or mis-use of the word great.
Ducking. It seems like people like to throw this out whenever their favorite fighters don't get the fight they want.
Shot. Someone has a bad loss and all of a sudden they are shot fighters. They then come back and have some good victories, go figure. Could it be they just weren't as good as you thought they were?
