What would be left? A fucking massive heart and fearless desire. Don't underestimate that mate.
People overrate Benn’s heart, the man quit twice against Collins (from what I remember) whereas his rival Eubank had far more heart going to war with Carl Thompson twice! People overlook the heart and chin of Chris to suck off Benn who got banged out by both Eubank and Watson in his prime. Benn was the Black Gatti.
You quite categorically question his heart here and say it's overrated. And in your last post you say he HAS HEART. make your fucking mind up bud.
You were the one comparing him with Eubank and questioning his heart.

Another son of a boxing legend who is kinda so-so? Well this is an old story isn't it. Julian Jackon's kids were meh, Eubank Jr is meh, does Collins have sons? RJJ's kids are playing other sports, JC Chavez Jr was IMO a flop, Omar Chavez is meh, Camacho Jr sucked, Christian Camacho sucks, Marvis Frazier was OK, Aaron Pryor Jr sucked, I mean it is hard following in the footsteps of even an average fighter much less achieving as much as your LEGENDARY father. I think the guys who learn the most and work the hardest are the guys who have parents who know what it takes to win and they aren't necessarily the guys who won all the matches they are the guys who had the most learning experiences look at Floyd Mayweather Jr, think he didn't learn off of his pops' and his uncle's mistakes?

I wish the best for the kid, but it's going to be hard to shake the shadow....you MUST learn to fight your way and develop your style which is hard to do when everyone expects something different. Look at Marvis Frazier, good slick boxer but everyone wanted Smokin' Joe take 2 and Marvis couldn't deliver that.

Benn is overrated and I stand by that statement. Exciting fighters who are aggressive and punch hard will always be overrated but let’s be honest here, he got knocked out by all three of his rivals! He never fought Jones or Toney but if he did I think we all know he’d have another defeat by stoppage on his record.

and McClellan did enough to stop him but for the referee allowing that to continue for whatever fucking reason.

The referee did a terrible job that night.

Overrated and heart are 2 different things. Or are you saying his heart is overrated? Because a couple of posts ago, you did a backstroke and said he had heart.
Nobody compared his heart to anybody else..............only you. How can you quantify whether him or Eubank had a bigger heart?
Nobody compared him to any other fighter........only you. I also think he would've lost to Jones and Toney, but I think he wouldn't be worried about fighting them.
And like I said before, getting KO'd or stopped doesn't mean you don't have heart.

You or somebody else listed his heart as an attribute, something that separated him from his competition and I just said that his heart was no bigger than his rivals (Eubank, Watson, Collins) Benn got stopped more times than those three fighters combined! Fighters like Benn get credit for having heart because they sell out and swing Hail Mary punches when things get tough but Eubank’s comeback against Watson was probably as impressive as Benn’s against the G-Man.

I did list his heart as an attribute, but I never said it separated him from the competition. And I never made any comparisons with any other fighter, you brought them all into it.
The thing is you jump in, make a rash statement like "his heart ain't all that, he quit." And later you have to admit he does have heart.
As for Eubank's comeback against Watson, by his own admission, that was "the biggest Hail Mary ever when things got tough", so what the fuck is the difference?
Benn hasn't got much heart , just throws Hail Marys when he's in trouble.
Eubank has more heart because he threw a big Hail Mary when he was in trouble.
    Please clarify?

There is no difference but rarely do people talk about Eubank’s heart or call him a warrior (like they do Benn) I’m not saying Benn has no heart I’m just saying it’s not really an attribute he has over his rivals. His only advantage he has over them is his power which is negated by the fact his chin isn’t as good as theirs.

So basically because we mentioned Benn on a thread about his Son, you felt there was a lack of love and attention for Eubank Sr.
perhaps I need to go on the Eubank Jr. thread and start bigging up Nigel Benn!
I never even said he had MORE heart than anyone, I said it was an Attribute.
This was in direct reply to you saying something along the lines of "apart from power, he's got fuck all else."
For the record , I'm not even sure Benn's power was more than everyone else, I just think he had power.

We’re going around in circles here I like Benn, he was an exciting fighter but he came up short against his rivals. I’d rather watch Benn over Eubank, Watson and Collins but I don’t think he was better than those guys. I’m not sure what being the son of Benn counts for? JCC was on a completely different level to both Eubank and Benn but both his sons turned out to be average. Let’s not forget Joe Frazier’s son (Tyson’s quickest KO I think) Conor doesn’t punch like his dad and if you take away his dads power then what else was left (physically)

I think it's just you going round in circles mate, so I'll leave it there.
