Good on stoppage as Fonfara was in fog sitting there looking at ref..this is why we love the sport. Upsets!!

never saw that coming. Smith jr can indeed swim!

Class acts both Smith jr and Fonfara after that. Smith Jr kind of guy who leaves his gloves laying on the dinner table. Kind of feel bad for Fonfara

Centeno Jr vs Sulecki makes the air and set for 10 rounds. Might coast on this one

smith jr seems like a good chap, I am glad he has won and gets his chance to go onto big money fights... if he can keep this level of performance up/get a good counter in when in trouble :S... I am watching sulecki but beer is taking a hold :S

Centeno jr is being driven to school over 4! Looks like he should be selling t shirts at a mall kiosk and Sulecki beginning to punch through him a bit. Dominance

That was great Ref takes a flush right hook from Centeno on break and laughs. That says everything

Crazy ending. I was thinking that the fight was about over because fonfara had Smith hurt and then BAM! Smith lands a huge shot. I feel bad for fonfara because he is a warrior and its an embarrassing loss. I am happy for Smith though. Hard work pays off sometimes.

At the end, I've always said that fonfara isn't very good. He is a tough guy who seems to have worked hard to get where he was at. It's commendable but sometimes you just aren't talented enough to make it to the top.

So now is it going to be Smith vs Stevenson? I'm sure Stevenson is ecstatic that he gets another easy opponent.

Sloppy performance from Fonfara getting stopped like that. That will set his career back a little. It was waved off a bit early but definitely in trouble.

I'm sure Fonfara felt the same way going in at the 8 to 1 favourite. Stevenson has been composting and I certainly would not call this an easy fight. That kid kept his hands up and was pretty sound technically. Stevenson is fighting Williams next......the same Williams that sparked out Rodriguez and is a fellow southpaw. Should he get past that he will be 39 by the time he fights Smith.

Wow! Tough and quick ending to Fonfara on that one. Good showing by Smith Jr., but can't help being sad for Fonfara, who became my totally favorite light heavyweight when he made JCC Jr. quit on his stool.

Hard worker for sure. Very fortunate to have had so many home town fights. Last time I saw him at the UIC Pavilion several fights stole his thunder. He has to grind out wins even at home.
All's lost! Everything's going to shit!

Yeah he looks really average lets be honest, nice punch he landed while hurt but he didn't have to show anything else. Fonfara is a guy who has always been solid and workmanlike but not that talented, and he was basically caught cold trying to finish this guy in the first round.

No doubt Stevenson will honor this mandatory though, that guy must not want anything to do with fighting anyone.
