I think unfortunately for Ortiz his time has passed.
his punches are tired and slow, not or can't put combinations together. Being left for dust. Caught Scott clean a few times but hasn't put him away. Totally underwhelming.

Didn't see the fight, but someone please tell me why/how is Scott rated.
Isn't Scott the guy who got knocked out by the wind from one of Wilder's first punches in the first round in San Juan?
Definitely not impressive from Ortiz, he's been looking for nothing but the left all night. Every time he corners Scott and can't get it off he just resets. The lead right was working early, he should have stuck to that or just thrown caution to the wind and gone to the body. Malik Scott shouldn't even be allowed to fight again having said that, what a clown.
it is still on... as for malik scott. who knows..... it's a shame he fights as crap as he does because he does seem to be pretty skilled and in good condition. I guess he got this fight because he looks the part and has only 2 losses on his record and I suspect they thought ortiz would squash him too and look good. 12th round now :S
What a shit fight!
Crazy as it sounds feels like Ortiz peaked in Jennings fightOr does he just need someone to fight back? Still cannot cut down a ring and that power jab is so absent. Showing no adaptability or punching imagination here.
By no means is Scott on the cards, but sadly he'll get the phone calls off this garbage and more big opportunities.
I need a bleach bath!
wilder did, he didnt even need to hit him to ko scott !
but fair point, scott really was very negative and had no real desire to win, hard to look good against someone like that, scott also isnt a total donkey either he is pretty good at survivng :S. Ortiz did look really slow though but to be fair to him he knocked scott down and totally dominated but this fight showed a few limitations for ortiz, he does have a lot of power though and I think it will be easier for him to show it v someone who is actually trying to win..
Since you mentioned that, Scott was actually on the canvas a good few seconds longer on the first knockdown tonight than he was against Del BoyIf the ref had just waived it off there Ortiz would've got a pass.
Stephen Smith is on, so forget the last fight. Great tune coming in.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Shame that.
This is turning into a good fight.
