    Scott Weiland are you kidding?
Surely to god that that remark about Weiland being more talented than Elvis is just sarcasm. Either that or I'll just go vomit on my crotch.

Just a matter of taste, I personally think Scott's work with Stone Temple Pilots blows Elvis not only out of the water but off the planet. And I didn't say more talented I said more artistic, hell even if I did say more talented. Whats thats phrase? Oh yeah opinions are like assholes

...umm yeah well it's a FACT if you think Scott Wieland is better than Elvis you have serious issues.

Scott has done what? Nothing solo, nothing special either....what's that they say? 50,000,000 Elvis fans can't be wrong

Besides picking a great song in "Simple Man" Taylor was also connecting and bonding with his many southern fans through southern rock which to me is very noble.

I don't know the singer you are talking about, but is 'southern rock' the same as 'country'?

Lynard Skynard did simple man and they are considered rock rather than country. Southern rock because Skynards music deals alot with swamps, hound dogs, discrimination, and poor boy blues.

Song for song Lynard skynard and CCR had more eternal hits than than even great bands like the stones, beatles, who and Jehtro tull.

Skynyrd is awesome and its cool that he came out to that.

I think that CCR and the Stones followed closely by Skynyrd are the most notable and greatest rock bands of all time.

The beatles are the most notable pop band of all time........

although they seemed to discover more of an LSD inspired Rock sound in the late 60's (ie The white album) and that is when they finally got their S*** together IMO.

IHO Jethro Tull are/were not a great band. Even if they did win the grammy for "Best Metal Band" The Stones, CCR, and Skynyrd are truly great bands though. The Rolling Stones rocked despite having a freaky little queer as their lead singer, I mean Jaggar is a great singer, but his little dances and behavior has been less than bad ass.

Elvis was a revolutionary talent in his time. I really wouldn't comapre one singer today to him.

Weiland is a lil fag, and is the pathetic excuse for a lead singer to a great band, that rightfully should still be fronted by the one and only Axl Rose! GNR all the way folks.
