When I think of Valuev I picture a giant robot with someone sitting in it's head working a control panel. Hopefully that will change if I see him fight LIVE on my televison set.

I really hope that whenever Valuev goes over the pond that he fights someone more impressive than Barrett, simply because, when he beats Barrett, Barrett will become the next Jeff Lacy, with everyone who said he was the business leaping from a moving bandwagon after finding out it's been set ablaze.Originally Posted by BoxingGorilla

A splendid summation of where this giant is at this juncture. Let us all see as he come across the "pond" for tougher game. I have seen only three of his fights, and there are still some questions, but he keeps getting better and his uppercuts are devastating.Originally Posted by superheavyrhun

? Who Jumped off the Lacy Bandwagon
I still dont get how one loss has people throwing dirt on him and giving him his last rites
At 28 he still has time to improve
I agree; if he can make a living in a "tough" business, why denigrate him?![]()
I disagree, before the Calzaghe fight many many people were bigging up Lacy as the best thing since sliced bread, and that the only way Calzaghe would win is with a lucky punch or dodgy home judges.Originally Posted by jtrock
If you look at how many people who have since disowned Lacy, then you'll find that the result probably (not scientifically basd, just on what I read on here) sees quite a few people who did turn their backs on their opinions of him.
