pbf doesn't deserve top spot I`ve said it before...yes his talented but the only reason why he got top spot in the first place was because roy jones and bhop lost but pbf didn't even win against anyone good...but now that winky and pac has done so much in their past 6 fights compare that to pbfs whole career pbf don't compare...p4p isn't about whole careers it doenst matter pbf is talented and undefeated his resume of quality oppenents is garbage compare to pac and winky...

actually if u put pac and winky against the stand stills oppenents pbf has fought pac would k.o all of them given they where same weight and winky would dominate them easily...if u put pbf against guys pac and winky has fought he won't be undefeated...jmm mab and em one of them could give pbf a lost again given they where same weight and as for winkys oppenents just put pbf against mosley once and he`ll have one lose for sure...

pbf doesn't deserve top spot he never did...his a blow up doll a fraud he only looks good because his good at handpicking guys in the division his been skipping...his whole career consist of guys against stand still targets and inconsistant fighters...

pac alone is the sports biggest attraction he entertains and pac of today can only lose to himself.the manner of his wins against legendary mab and em cements his on legacy his way of winning eradicates his loses because he keeps improving a brute force already unforgettable in boxing history...

winky is a dominant artist defense is brilliant his come forward punch me swagger is far more entertaining then hit and run little pretty boy...very derserving two wins against mosley can pbf do that I don't think so.

j.t undefeated to but far more amazing then pbf just see bhop on his record wtf how can he not be over pbf...who's best win is against inconsistant stand still castillo who pbf himself should of lost too...

keep in mind pac is a head because the way he wins...and for winky if he beats j.t in a dominant way in the rematch I`ll put him top spot.as for j.t. if he beats winky he got top spot...but when pac beats jmm or mab again he keeps top spot...as for pbf his nest fight is delahoya yea finally pbf steps up...funny how pbf whole perfect trying apperance is treaten by just one left hook from a old delahoya...now how can top spot p4p be on the line by just one punch pbf really doesn't derserve it.

I agree with Big H. Pac has the momentum and he has been beating exceptional fighters and with poise and effect....

Floyd, as good as he is, hasnt been testing himself against the opponents that justify a number 1 P4P placing...

I always have issues with P4P listings anyway. Just me.

I have a question about the nature of the p4p moniker - didn't this term originate to compare top fighters from weight classes far enough apart that they wouldn't normally fight one another? It seems logical to apply this title to the fighter who displays the most skill and faces the tougher opposition - regardless of division.

I'm somewhat confused by all the credence given to fighters who regularly move up in weight. I understand that fighting a naturally larger opponent is increasingly difficult as the weight difference grows, but is that a true measure of boxing skill? Should the p4p moniker go to the man who can compete across the most weight divisions? Or should the division be irrelevant, and the focus be directed solely to the skills displayed and the level of opposition faced?

For example, PBF has steadily moved up in weight, facing solid opposition at each step. Maybe not the toughest fights at each level, but definitely not gimme bouts, either, considering the natural weight difference. Credit must be given to PBF for these feats - he's consistently winning against much larger men, and winning handily.

But how meaningful is this accomplishment? In my opinion - and that isn't worth a whole lot - PBF hasn't taken the fights against the toughest level of opposition at each weight jump. He fights solid opposition - once again, I am supremely impressed with his skills in the ring, and do not mean to take anything away from what he's done - but he does not fight the top echelon fighters. So is he a p4p champ just because he can jump weights and box circles around carefully selected opponents?

He has the skills to be p4p #1. No doubt about it. But for my money, I'd rather see him face better opposition. It's an insult to his talent that he always chooses the path of least resistance.

That's why I think Pacquiao has eclipsed PBF in this context. Personally, I rate quality of opposition more heavily than skill. Let's face it, PBF is gonna outbox just about anyone out there, skill wise. But he avoids the fights where skill might not be enough. ODLH is a move in the right direction, but is it too little, too late?
