Diggstown was one of the best boxing movies... because it was more based on a story line than actual boxing.

Great white hype was a comedy where you were suppose to concentrate on the jokes and laugh, not on the reality of the actual boxing match, if you want to say a bad comedy fine, but to say bad boxing movie would mean that you focused on the wrong thing in the movie. Diggstown storyline was based off of the hurdles he had to face in the ring, which was garbage. Great white hype was not.Originally Posted by LuciferTheGreat
Lets face it guys if you are a true boxing fan then all boxing movies are total crap
Rocky IV........I saw this one in the theater back in '84 or '85, I don't remember which. Back then I though it was great because I was a kid and the cold war was in full gear.
Now, years later I watch that movie and cringe.
The acting, the writing, the impossible fight choreography....![]()
Probably not a boxing movie but I read the description of a film on showtime earlier today, a boxer wants to become a gymnast. Can't imagine that one is the greatest.
Yes. I remember seeing this in the movie theatre with my father and boxing my way across the parking lot on the way back to the car. When I re-watched it in the late nineties I was embarrassed by it.Originally Posted by mucho testosterone
