The point is VD, that Floyd Mayweather Jr. thinks he's better than Ray Robinson....the same Ray Robinson who fought 200 times, winning 173 fights and KO-ing 108 fighters from lightweight to middleweight, and fighting ALL TIME GREAT FIGHTERS ALL ALONG.

Make a case for Floyd being great VD.....you're good at trying to make Hatton look less than great but Ricky doesn't put himself on the same level as Floyd. Make a case for Floyd being great, your arguement is persueding people to like or respect Floyd...it's based on bad mouthing Ricky Hatton
The thread title says "Why do fans dislike certain fighters?" It's not make a case for Mayweather being great. All I'm pointing out is that people hate Mayweather and try and use his resume as the reason why. Yet they praise Hatton. Ignoring the fact that in over 40 fights. He has beaten only one elite name. You list every single big name and good fighter who at some time fought near Mayweathers weight class. And say he ducked them all. Even coming out with some of the stupidest match ups ever. Mayweather-Forrest. Mayweather-Leija. Mayweather-Ward. And so. Knowing damn well that at no point were those match up even a possibility.

V.D. they use his resume against him only after he claims to be the best ever. Get it If Hatton said what Mayweather did I would be against him as well.

Now VD I understand your case vs Ricky Hatton but Ricky has Frank Warren...he "tries" to get lots of big fights and let's be fair he's humble and doesn't pretend to be better than Ray Robinson.

As for Floyd, he claims he's the best boxer ever and yet he has NEVER UNIFIED THE TITLES IN ANY WEIGHT CLASS HE HAS SET FOOT IN....and yet he still claims he's "the best ever"....let's just go over this a bit.

Ray never fought at 130, the division didn't exist when he fought
    Floyd WBC TITLE HOLDER

Ray Robinson, never offered a title fight at 135
Floyd Mayweather Jr., WBC TITLE HOLDER

Ray didn't fight at 140...that division didn't exist when Ray fought
    Floyd WBC TITLE HOLDER

Ray Robinson THE champion at 147
Floyd Mayweather Jr. WBC, IBO, IBA ......title holder

Ray Robinson THE Champion at 160
    Floyd says he'll retire

are you getting the picture He's NEVER ....EVER...... EVER EVER EVER been THE CHAMP and therefore cannot be THE greatest.

So by my rational, Ricky ain't the greatest BUT he's not a loudmouthed cunt and that makes him more likeable

I never said Mayweather was the greatest. So you can click off Boxing Rec and stop your researching. Cuz all your doing is telling something I already know. Mayweather (rather misguided or not) has a high opinion of himself. If he has to lie to himself and make himself think he's the greatest. That's his problem. That arrogance and confidence has obviously helped him. He is undefeated. People don't like it. And that's understandable. But what I don't understand is why that dislike for him makes people belittle his accomplishments and make foolish statements about him ducking certain fighters. Yet they turn around and praise a guy who's accomplish less and in turned has faced less top fighters than Mayweather. Why cuz he's a nice guy? This is boxing. This ain't popularity contest.

Hatton's skill isn't what Floyd's is, and yet....Ricky's undefeated, there are people...(YOU and others) who don't like him....it's just for different reasons....is that ok with you?

You don't have to dislike all fighters for the same reasons....understand?

For example, I dislike David Tua but my reasons for disliking him are different than why I dislike Paulie Malinaggi.
