I am so glad that they have put this one on sky live....my mum won't be seeing me on mother's day at least until mid-afternoon, i won't wake up till then. I reckon Barrera might just have a little more left in the old gastank after they've both had long glittering careers, but could go either way and it depends on who gets it right on the night.
I reckon this will eb a better one than the over-hyped, and inevitably disappointing MAyweather-De La Hoya fight.
Been saying for ages that it'll be a chess match![]()

Barrera weighs in bang on 130 lbs
Marquez 1lb lighter at 129 lbs

Ahem.....Barrera probably by decision, perhaps by shock stoppageOriginally Posted by El Gamo

Thanks for the weigh in pics, CC for those, but I can't pick a winner because they're both wearing girly strings of beads. I'll go for Barrera cause he's gone the extra mile in asking for god's help, wearing two crucifixes instead of one on JMM. (Is that the right plural for crucifix? Maybe it should be crucifixii?)
I've been staying around here for about a week and there's only one other guy who's voted for a Barrera KO! That's kinda scary, huh. But at least I've got a companion - whereas it used to be just until yesterday 'me against the world' but now it's 'you and me against the world.'
So what shall I do, shall I switch sides? Will I? Naw, I wont do such thing. I'll be man enough to stick with my decision. I might take a vacation after the fight, though.Naw, I won't do that either. I'm always ready to face whatever the consequence.
All right, are there anyone wishing to come aboard? You've got only few hours left. Just hop in and I'll take you for a ride - either literally or figuratively, depending on the result. Don't worry folks, it's Barrera by KO!![]()
What am I saying? pre-fight jitters must have taken over me and driving me nuts again.

Does a boxer really needs to say this kind of things before a fight?Psy-war baby

Here's what's gotten me...I'm sitting here (drinking no less...on a cold Saturday...mid day no less.) watching the Marquez, Barrera, Pacquiao trilogy (I'm sticking with Marquez.) & realizing that no matter what Marquez does...HBO refused to recognize it to the degree of Pac's wild misses.
Amazing.
Marquez has shown much much better since his fight with Pac than Barrera has in all his comps & also...Marquez gave Pac hell from round 5 on. He nuetralized the majority of his shots & in the 11th & 12th he went toe to toe war in a slugfest that rivaled Morales Barrera matches...no matter what anyone says...watch it again.
It was a war. He took the 11th & 12th big.
He should own Barrera unless he fights like a tard over a lollipop.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
All right, folks with only 2 votes out of 30, I'm hitting the sack (it's 5am here). Wish me and the other guy luck.
Take over Wacko, and enjoy the fight.
Adios Amigos and Mabuhay sa iyon lahat!

I think that Russell Crowe will probably have said it best during the mid rounds:
AH YOU NOT IN-TUH-TAINED?!?!?!
