im thinking either a stoppage or a hard faught SD margarito
Theres only 2 things that IMO can change things for the worst for Margarito here.
Thats the 2 injuries he's had one with his hand and the other with his leg.
But fwock that no excuses, he was able to beat Clottey with an injured hand and I don't remember him mentioning his leg injury in the post-fight interview of the Clottey fight.

As I said before I like both fighters styles I think we're in for a really good fight.

I'm rooting for Margarito as I always have.

A bit of an exaggerated example but Paul has really fought nobody.

The only thing is the speed, that's a big advantage for Williams.
Hmmm...interesting point. Makes me look at it a little differently. But hey,PW is RING top 10 too if I remember correctly(which is a bit low imo,he's better than some of the guys above him). I just don't like the fact(and I don't mean you personally Oumafan) that Margarito is taking another tough fight and even if he wins, some people will find ways to dismiss which is ridiculous considering how dangerous PW is. The same thing happened with the Cintron fight but Kermit has gone on to become a world champ and RING number 7. I'd rather Tony fight a livewire in PW,a hungry, dangerous guy than a shot older fighter.
Well Gamo, you and I both know who those people are that will discredit Margarito.
What makes this even funnier is that remember all those people talking shit! that Margarito was scared of Williams and that Margarito would never fight Williams, that Margarito would 1st vacate his belt rather then fight Williams....
How ignorant can some people be, just typing away without thinking 1st.
But anyway what matters now is that the fight is made and if all goes well they'll be face to face on Sat. night which is gonna be a helluva night.

Yeah,I remember that.Good post,CC in 24. They all crawled under a rock when Margarito went to court to FIGHT PW because Top Rank wanted him to fight Cotto which meant vacating his title and he did not want to do that. It's funny how the haters went quiet after that,I remember seeing so many threads saying Margarito is ducking et etc BS. And yeah they can try to discredit Tony but us true fans know that this is ANOTHER RING mag fighter Tony will have beaten! AnD PW would be tough for anyone at 147.

Nope,no excuses. Tony was genuinely injured for the Clottey fight,he rested and has extra time to prepare for this fight. He has had a great camp for this fight too and I have a feeling he is going to do really well for this fight.

It would be tragic for tony if he loses due to the fact that the injuries got the better of him. But this is a big fight for him and it will push a fight to prove he is the best at 147 which he does need IMO. But the styles will give a good fight and i dont think pauls chin has been fully tested against a champ who is on a mission! This is why im thinking tony can stop him for sure.

Williams will show up Margarito. His reach is otherwordly. If he can use it to his advantage and pick his spots then he can take Margarito....

I think we all give credit to Margarito,
but at the same time I don't think you guys give enough credit to Williams.

So he's not seasoned? Only a few boxers are seasoned.
I think he'll bring energy and intensity to this fight.... that always offsets a seasoned fighter.

I have to stick to my fighter though.
The Punisher scares me, stylewise he's wrong for Tony, but I believe in the TJ Tornado.

    TKO Margarito 11th round.

Well I mean theres only so much credit you can give a guy whos best opponent is a blown up Welter in Sharmba who has NO business fighting at 147 and can be fighting his last fights anytime now as the 63 fights is easy to say but whoa! that's some road hes traveled.
Limon, Lockridge, Broussard, Johnson, Johnston, Green, Philips, Vilches, Tackie, N'dou, Stewart, PBF.
Anyway! I wen't off topic there but check this Williams has to earn his credit. I give him the credit he deserves so far I can't give him anymore cause he really ain't done much this here tho forget it. If he beats Margarito he'll get all the credit he deserves. Look at Pavlik all I gave 'em credit for was for beating McKart then he goes and literally beats Miranda now I credit Pavlik with all the credit he deserves.

Why does Williams have no business at 147? He claims the weight is no trouble at all on him, and Margarito is the one who has fought at 154.

Anyways, like I said way long ago when this thread first started, Williams UD.

I finally made up my mind and casted a vote. I say Margarito by hard fought UD.

Williams will have his moments but will eventually be manhandled in the final rounds.

I give Williams little more than nothing at this point. Tony is really threatening and rough, let me tell ya something 4 real here, I love Shane and still I fear he would get into a nightmare against Tony. Williams gets into the rich welterweight elite/spotlight by the toughest of challenges, the narrowest of doors, he's not Tommy and he's not going to fight Pepino Cuevas, it's my clearest of views that Margarito will break him just like he did to Cintron and I don't even like Margarito but I have to admit and acknowledge, Tony is three nights away of that Cotto match.
