Possibly, but did anyone actually say it was at 154? In the unlikely event of this happening i believe they would implement a catch weight of 149/150?

No way Oscar fights a hair below 154. and by fight nite he would be at least 160.. I like Ricky alot but Delahoya would TKO him within 5. Oscar does very well when he dosent have to be the agressor, Ricky would be in front of Oscar catching bombs....

Yep this is all neither here nor there until June 24th, Ricky has far too much on his late at the minute, the thing that gives this fight a chance of is Oscar's desire to hold the highest attendance at a boxing match, the chance to fight in Britain, and his respect for Hatton as a fighter. In De La Hoya speak I think all that means "An easy payday against a guy who is a lot smaller than me, with about 90,000 people all paying to see it,"

By the way I don't think that'd be the case, if Hatton could survive past 6 rounds there's no doubt Oscar would be blowing out of his arse and I think Ricky would be far too much for him over the last six, he really isn't as bad as people think as a boxer, he has good movement, he is just made to look really bad by southpaws because he can't go to the body like he does and is always walking onto right hooks. Against orthodox fighters I think a lot of you americans will be really impressed, I reckon against Castillo he'll be spectacular, a lot more impressive than when he beat Kostya.

cheers pal I think the americans have yet to see the best of ricky hatton, they've seen all the qualities in him that on his top form he doesn't require because he's usually dishing out too much for the his opponent to show that ricky has a great chin and spirit

I think DLH would be to good technically for Hatton! But I could definitely see this fight coming together if Hatton can get past Castillo. The money that it would generate almost demands it

Yup dan CC right back Hattons chin n spirit have yet to be displayed to the americans....as i believe is his boxing SKILL. as an am, in major comps ricky used to take "break" fights wher he would sit back use his skill n box, conserving his energy for the finals!!! And back then i remember being so impressed with his kinda old school skills and subtle defensive techniques. Best of hatton to come me thinks/hopes

You are truly delusional if you think Collazo has anything close to the power and number of body shots that Castillo will give him and Oscar would just sit back and wait for Hatton to make a mistake to put him to sleep. ODLH is at his best when he does not have to be the aggressor. Talk you Sunday anything can happen that is why we watch all though some in here would have you thing the are the next coming of Nostradamus.

It would be a better match than mayweather-hatton. they have complimentry styles to me and i think they would both be at their best..

these are two of my most favorite boxers for their personalities in the ring and out.. i would have to see the castillo-hatton fight before i could see if hatton is on DLH's level though

they would have to meet at 147 and i think DLH is to big for that

Just comparing Collazo to JLC is a joke, the good thing is Castill may have aged ring wise very fast recently.

well this isn't going to happen for a number of reasons, De La Hoya is not going to go to England to fight Hatton frankly because he's already at that point of his career that if you want to fight him you follow through with his demands, so yea that's a big reason, plus there is no way that this would be anywhere below 154, he's not going to go down to 147 much less to 140, and no matter at what weight IMO DLH would kill Hatton and he would beat him very very badly, this would be a slightly more competitive version of Mayorga/DLH, but i think DLH would either box the hell out of Hatton and stop him by knockdowns, or forced stoppage, or by cuts and swelling
