that fight was quality
i live in rotherham nxt to sheffield so loads of naz fans here and
i knew ppl who didnt know barrera had never heard of him and i swore blind naz wud get destroyed

the thing bout naz was he was entertainment i aint saying he couldnt box but thats not wat got him headlines>it was his f***ing about !!showboating(which pisses me off and calzaghe lost respect from me in the lacy fight for that)
naz said him self it only takes two pound of pressure in the right spot for a knock out punch and thats wat he went for in his fights fun to watch for some but not me.i like boxing for the sport not for the dancing around and taking the piss
his last fight was a joke too against manuel calvo and thats y he's stayed away he got booed to hell and he thrived on ppl loving the comedy and showboating
anyway wat i was originally gonna post for was to say i quite like alex arthur but agree with wat bin said u cant call him over rated cus no one shouting that he the best in the world

Katfight how can you agree with this lot Naz was far from overrated really WBO champ 15 defences IBF and WBC champ aswell also beat WBA champ Vasquez who was stripped for fighting Naz.I thought Naz would beat Barrera similar to how Junior Jones beat him first time but i was wrong but he was only about 3 points up on scorecards but he did soundly beat him.But to say Naz was overrated is very harsh its not like he fought nothing but tomato cans like some british fighters lets not forget he only had 37 fights.


Belcastro Naz's 12 th fight for european title Belcastro was a good tough pro Naz dropped him twice and won every round for UD12.

Robinson Naz's first fight at featherweight and for a genuine world title the WBO Robinson a good strong feather ranked number 5 in the ring mag at the time Naz stops him in 8 one sided rounds I think Naz also became youngest british or english world champ.

Medina a former WBC and IBF world champ very highly ranked a world class operator Naz drops him 3 times and stops him in 11 Naz was suffering with flu at the time and it was obvious it was no excuse as you could hear it in his voice as he spoke after the fight.Medina went on after the fight to regain the IBF title and beat Scott Harrison for the WBO title years later.

Johnson was ranked number 1 featherweight in the world he was IBF champ Naz won KO 8

Badillo a good strong featherweight who had given Johnson a good fight he was WBO number 1 contender Naz stood him on his head stopped him in 7.

Kelley KO4 a good war Kelley had only lost once in about 50 fights.

Vasquez he was WBA champ but was stripped for fighting Naz Naz stopped him in 7 Vasquez was a good strong pro.

McCullough UD12 good result nobody KO's McCullough.

Ingle KO11 Ingle was dropped 3 times had some sucess himself in the fight before been stopped he went on after the Naz fight to win the IBF title off Medina this proved it was a good result for Naz.

Soto tough Mexican WBC champ it was a scrappy fight but Naz won UD12.

Herbie Hide...Would have made a great cruserweight! Was fast but couldnt take a shot! He may still dent the cruserweights one day!

The little Irish guy...the pocket rocket. Cant think of his name and, ok, he' s not British but he was so dull! Tough but I dont think he ever troubled people with his punches.

Was never too sure of Colin McMillan towards the end of his career. He had a few good fights I guess.

cc mate, some great points, some people forget how good he was and his attitude blinkers that in some peoples eyes, Naz was done as soon as his family took over his career, they were more money minded, there was no discipline in the Naz camp once Ingle had gone. Naz was seen as the king by all his shitty entourage and basically trained if and when he wanted, he was getting beaten up by his sparring partners before the Barerra fight and was more intrested in getting the biggest room at the Casino, while Barerra was training his Maxican arse off in the Mountains. It's a sahme becasue Naz was a great fighter and anyone who thinks that was the real Naz in that ring havent really got a clue, no movement no speed his timing wasnt there nothing.

He quit because the discipline had gone, there was no one like Ingle to tell him what to do when to do it, he turned lazy and basically didnt have the hunger anymore, he made his money and didnt coem back. Quite simple.

I'll start by saying Nasheem Hamed (only fought one world class boxer and was destroyed, Lloyd Hoenyghan (1 good fight does not make a good career), Paul Ryan (please), Audley Harrison (again erm), Herbie Hide (Herbie who), Pele Reid (hahah), Paul Hodgkinson, Kirkland Lang, Crawford Ashley (oh not the body), Johnny Armour, Takaloo, Adrian Dodson and who could forget Gary Jacobs!
