ricky put the smack down on castillo tonight. castillo looked finished from about the first 5seconds into the fight.

that body shot was hard to the core.

all and all EXCITING fight tonight! i was entertained!

Good observation, bestp4p. I've seen a lot of fight-ending body shots, but none have gotten the reaction we saw out of Oscar that night. And no matter how many times I watch the replay of the shot, it always looks glancing to me.

Regarding last night's fight, it was a tremendous showing by Hatton, who did his fans proud. His swarming and clinching style, while not totally crowd-pleasing to some (myself included), was incredibly effective against an overwhelmed Castillo. While Castillo didn't seem to be the fighter he once was, that is hardly Hatton's fault.... he just came to fight. And the body punch that ended it was brutal. It was clear immediately that Castillo wasn't gonna get back up.

to keeps it REAL, coming from a man whos sat RINGSIDE quite a few times, it was always the BRIT FOLKS who really impressed me who i met who flew all the way the fuckkk over to vegas to sit ringside with me. id ask them what they did for a living(assuming they was like millionaires to afford such a long journey and spend good money on a ringside seat) but they'd tell me they were pretty much average blue collar working men who just LOVED the sport of boxing and loved their favorite fighters!
