I wouldn't be so sure. Gomez is much bigger than both Castillo and Hatton. Hatton had trouble with Collazo and Gomez is bigger than him. I don't know if you caught the Gatti fight but Gatti looked tiny compared to Gomez.

He's 5 ft 9 and has fought as high as 160 lbs.

Hatton ain't blowing him over no way.
    What are Hatton's options?
Everybody says that Cotto, Margarito, Mosley are too big for him. Now Gomez.

I'm sorry, but it seems Hatton has lost a lot of respect in terms of his performance against any bigger opponent.

I'm not saying he can't beat Gomez but the idea he could just walk through him is completely absurd. Gomez has never looked anything if not durable and he's actually a pretty solid fighter to boot.

Some people like to make statments of fact that any top level fighters will just blow away guys from the Contender but it's not true, Gomez will give pretty much anybody at 147 lb a decent fight for a few rounds at a least.

I think calling Gomez a world class super middle weight is a bit much to be honest with you, he might be a decent middleweight at most, but one thing Gomez is not is a world class super middle weight. As far as I am concerned, Gomez looked quite fleshy coming in against Gatti at 147, so I'm sure he could stick there, or even drop a weight if he really wants a title fight. Heck, I'm sure Paulie Malignaggi would welcome such a bout with open arms, but Hatton is hunting larger prey.
No.... Peter Manfredo Jr is a big middle weight and Gomez picked him apart in thier first contest. I think Hatton wont be able to hit and hold and hit and hold and hit and hold and hit and hold and hit and hold on Gomez.

You know Gomez able to drop to 147 and Manfredo gowing to 168.
