Nice fight, but less speed off De La Hoya.

Floyd will win on points. No KO.

They are to very different fighters. Fighting in two very different times. I think you may not understand the difference between a GREAT fighter and good fighter.

They are both great fighters with proven records

you know, i find it too tough to call and outside the ring its the same, think bout it yeh i mean pretty boy floyd gets one over on his jackass pops! but what would be so interesting is.. what would floyd do if he lost? i mean would he pick himself up and win some more great fights? would he quit, or would he lose it and be more beatable then he is now? opinions plzz ta.

Everybody knows Oscar don't belong at 160 and Shane don't belong at 154, in my opinion we are going to find out very soon that Floyd don't belong at 154 either. I believe both Shane and Oscar are playing mouse with him, quietly knowing that they can both knock his azz out!!

Floyd has slowed down at 147 so it stands to reason he will slow further at 154, he isn't as tall, has a shorter reach and is a lighter frame with brittle hands. Those of you who think Floyd is a sure bet ,what exactly did you see in the Mosley v Vargas or Oscar v Mayorga fights that shows SSM and ODH are so beatable? They moved well and were throwing combinations again.

Imagine Baldomir in against Oscar instead of Mayorga or against Shane instead of Vargas before you watch him and Floyd this November

Floyd ain't beating anyone at 154 pound

They are both great fighters. What makes the decision hard is...
Floyd is in his prime, Oscar is slightly past.
Oscar has fought tougher opponents than Floyd.
I would go with Oscar as long as they fight within the next 12 months.

ODLH is very patient though and he would adjust and probably throw combos as PBF was coming in to scare PBF from reaching with the jab. ODLH looked great against Mayorga but PBF's speed and defense is bananas. Seriously, ODLH has power, but everyone that has ever faced PBF has had more power than him, if good power punchers like Corrales, Judah, Castillo, Gatti, could hardly land any clean punch on the chin, much less a power punch, I just don't see how ODLH is any different. Every fight people are always like "if Floyd gets caught, it's over" and that might be true, but the guy hardly gets caught cleanly. What I am scared about is that shot Judah hit him with in the fourth round of their fight. The guy was truly buzzed even though he was smiling through his gloves at Judah.
What about the fact that Oscar would KTFO of Corrales, Judah, Castillo and Gatti!! none of those guys fight at 154

Everyone thinks Floyd is going to outbox Oscar so easily but who the hell ever has out boxed him?

mosely did a pretty good job of out-boxing oscar
hopkins was also doing a great job of outboxing oscar too, until he knocked him out
    i do like oscar, though
    but.................
floyd mayweather is the best fighter weve seen in a very long while
    floyd by late ko
It could be argued that Mosely and Hopkins were both p4p number 1 when they fought Oscar, it could also be argued that Oscar won the 2nd Mosely fight and a single punch verses Hopkins doesn't equate to being totally outclassed.

What p4p guys has Floyd shared the ring with in the last 4 years? or just above Super Featherweight for that matter?

If Oscar is 100% fit and Floyd senior is genuinely training him to win then you will see Floyd get stopped for the first time in his career or lose a by UD at the very least.

if that were true then oscar would be willing to fight him. he bit off more than he could chew when he started talking floyd

oscar came back from his layoff STRONG, but backed down to a top p4p fighter.
so in the meantime, go ahead and give all these stupid reasons and excuses about why oscar wont step in the ring with floyd, but keep in mind that everything was a go............except oscar.
If the man questions his own desire to fight or is carrying injuries this late in his career following the Mayorga win, who are we to blame him for not wanting to risk anything else.

For you to insinuate that he is scared of PBF is ludicrous!!! I know I sound like a broken record but how can squaring off from lil'Floyd be any more daunting than..

    Pernell Whitaker
    Felix Trinidad
    Fernando Vargas
    Shane Mosley
    Felix Sturm
    Bernard Hopkins

Fact is Floyd has never fought anyone that has a chin as good, can crack as good, can box as good and can finish a guy off as good as Oscar.
I am kind of a Floyd fan, I wish he would take more chances in chosing his opponents. I am a huge Oscar fan, not too proud of his Felix Sturm or his first Mosley fight. I would really like to see this fight, but it is really tough to say who would win. Oscar clearly has the better jab and reach. Oscar has a good chin, Floyd's is yet to be determined. Oscar has definately fought tougher opponents. Floyd has better defence. Power is pretty even, but I would have to say that Floyd has a better right. Speed may have been Oscar, but at this stage in his career might go to Floyd. Stamina would have to be Floyd. Oscar is more experienced at Light Middleweight which is probably where they would meet if it is to happen.
The only opponents that I can recall that you can compare them with are Arturo Gatti and Genaro Hernandez and both boxer got the shit beat out of them against both of them.

just think about at what stage of their career they got their asses beat and that should be enough, Oscar has the better power and i'd say Floyd has the better speed but not by much, also Oscar is IMO the better finisher

I still cant believe the one guy said Ali and ODLH arent that great...dude ANY fighter that is in the sport long enough will be given a decision or two. Thats not their fault it is the judges faults for scorin a bad decision. Ali was one of the greatest fighters of all time, if not THE GREATEST. Remember that shit. As far as the topic; Delahoya probably doesnt have it in the gas tank to take Mayweather Jr anymore. He may have at one time but I dont see it happening now. If he takes the fight its gonna look like the first Sugar Shane Mosley bout, but not as close. He had a lot of problems with Shane because of the speed and the footwork of Mosley and Floyd is faster and has better footwork. Only thing Delahoya can hope for (and he's thought about this) is the fact that Mayweather may have trouble keeping top form in the move up to 154 where Oscar seeks to lure him. This could slow him down and make enough difference in punching power between the two to give the Golden Boy one last great performance. It is a big "if" though. Floyd Mayweather by unanimous decision; he beats Oscar 8 rounds to 4 by consistently outpunching, outspeeding and outmoving the Golden Boy.
