I just dont understand the hate towards Amir and i could be wrong but can only see it being because of his skin color! Why else beat down a upcoming British prospect and cheer for lesser fighters?
[/quote] I hate you and thats because your a moron i couldn't care if your brown white black pink blue yellow your a moron plain and simple and the reason i dislike Khan ?? well he goes around saying crap that he could beat Floyd Mayweather over 4 rounds be world champion in his next 5 fights just little stuff like that when he hasn't even beat the best domestic level opponents yet and has been knocked down by feather fisted fighter and has been knocked down twice until he beats some who is even considered goodish he should stop the talking and beating up punchbags and start fighting guys like Graham Earl and John Thaxton.

Its his arrogance that people dont like - saying unbelievable claims is disrespectful to all the other pros that are around- having said that i thought he is improving fast and is becoming a decent little dosmestic fighter - time will tell if the improvements continue

i shall join bilbo on his wonderful train journey because i know kahn will be a world champion.

after every fight i come on here and the same people say 'yeh wel he will get knocked out by so and so' and 'he has a weak chin' blah blah fookin blah.

he's 20 years old.....he wasn't born a perfect boxer. ...why isn't he allowed to make mistakes?

he is progressing at the rate in which the boxing regulations are allowing him. he can't fight for a world title yet anyway so when he beats someone at british level there is no point in sayin 'yeh but he beat a punchbag' because he's basically beating the sort of guys that most 20 year old prospects won't get anywhere near for a couple of years. It's not his fault he is battering most of them.

he turns 21 on the 8th dec and he is fighting graham earl apparently who has just come off that war with wbo champ michael katsidis so he is being brought along quite well.

as for his chin.....until he actually gets his on it and goes down its a bit hard to comment on.....the limond shot was on the temple and i think you will find (even in miguel cotto's case) anybody can be shook by a shot on the temple.

Making 2 accounts ?? well like i said just a minute ago shut it you muppet.

I love these people who bring skin colour into it and make it a racism issue one of my favorite fighters is mexican skin colour is not an issue to me i just don't think Khan is anywhere near as good as the hype and he was knocked down by a feather fisted fighter and has shown major flaws now if you want to act like an idiot and call people racist for thinking Khan won't be world champion and that his last opponent was a joke go ahead but i seriously think your way out of order.
Are you retarted in some way, if you READ what ive said then we shouldnt have a problem.

Opened 2 accounts? dont make me laugh!! Just because someone agrees with me. lol

OK ill agree with you just for the sake of it, Amir's "got serious flaws" Well if he has why beat him down about it. Weve got a fighter with unbelievable speed and talent but has flaws (which you must agree upon?), shouldnt we be rooting for him to tighten up his defence etc to help improve him as a fighte?r as he is 1 of a limited number of upcoming british boxers!!!

And for your information i never called anybody a racist but said that i can sense a hint of racism in peoples comments.

First of all answer me this question, If amir fighting punch bags

What was our British champion (Thaxton) doing fghting Lawton in his last fight?? Amir fought lawton after lawton vs thaxton (and you know the results from that). If Lawton was good enough to fight our prime British champion (and give him a godd fight, 7th round tk0) isnt he good enough to fight a 20yr old kid - seriously you guys make me laugh!!

by the way graham earl is a likely matchup for khan 15 pro fight. i gurantee you after that fight you will come up with some more rubbish like earls washed up etc!!

Until you know for a fact someone is being racist, or you've been posting for a long time and are respected as a good poster, it's probably better to just not bring up racism as a viable argument. I'm sure there are racists on here; they're everywhere in the world, but this is boxing and people get pretty passionate about their favorite fighters or fighters they dislike for whatever reason. Some of the people having an unfavorable opinion about Khan might have brown skin, you don't know. Not trying to pick on you man, but get some thicker skin if you're going to get on this board.

Your probably right mate, and to be honest am not Amir Khan greatest fan or anything like that but just was curious as to all the hatred towords him. If you read my later post ive asking genuine question but all i get is irrelavent answers as it seems my points seem to be correct.

Hop on buddy there's plenty of room it seems, we can both sit up front with the driver!

@Mikay. I applaud you for defending Amir my friend I too think he's a vastly underatted fighter on these boards (although admittedly overhyped by the British media) It's not his fault that the press decide to give him as much coverage as he gets and I really don't see anything wrong whatsoever about being confident in your own abilities.

I love Amir's attitude, think he's a fantastic role model for today's youth and hopefully helps steer away some Asian minorities who might otherwise get involved in the nasty side of Islamic fundamentalism. He's a Pakastani/English Muslim whose proud to be British and to represent our country. He has stood up and said defiantly that he thinks the terrorist attacks in London and around the world are evil and wrong, which must take some bottle for a young Muslim kid who knows full well that the majority of the Arab world hate the West with a passion.

I do think you were wrong to bring racism into though. Nobody on this board to my knowledge has ever made any racist comments about Amir, in fact the most likely person to have done so is probably myself :P

So apologise for the racist accusations and move on. It's great your supporting Amir, others will come around later but in the meantime make peace with everybody and move on to less controversial subjects.

Hope you stick around the forum, we're a good sort really. Have a and let's all be friends

You won't see any racist comments on the main board here, the mods remove them real quick. Maybe at Dogshite boxing or some other lesser forums but not here. Saddo and the mods exercise a firm grip to keep any unwanted comments off the boards

Earl is washed up. Watch his fight with Katsidis. Except for that one punch that floored Katsidis, Earl got his ass kicked. And bad. The 4th round was especially brutal for him. I don't see Earl giving Con much of a fight at all.

It's all good buddy. Like I said, stay on this forum and make alot of posts and people will embrace you for the most part, like our resident hobbit Bilbo is. The reason you might not be getting serious answers might be because you haven't posted much and some of what you say might be coming across as purposefully antagonizing, to some people's point of view anyways. Don't sweat the small stuff bro'.

Haha. So who would you have him fight, Hatton, Mayweather, Hopkins?!?!. Please remember, 20yr old, 15th pro fight - So can yo honestly say that Earl is not a good next opponent for Amir?

And again i ask you, What was our British champion (Thaxton) doing fghting Lawton in his last fight if he wasnt even good enougt for Khan to be fighting??

I don't give a fuck about no Thaxton. Thaxton is a bum (who has he ever beat?). There's a reason he has 7 losses. Age and number of fights had ain't got shit to do with anything. Koki Kameda, David Reid and Fernando Vargas all won titles before there 15th pro fight. Mayweather was only 3 fights away from his championship. When your as hyped as Con was/is, your expected to move at a quicker pace.
